It depends. Are there any characteristics about the abnormal battery drainage, like it happening with the screen on or off, wi-fi on or off, etc? Some of those can be kernel related, others can be ROM/Gapps related.Hi guys.
Flashed this rom a few weeks ago and I'm enjoying it but it has a major issue with battery drainage. I understand this has been reported a few times but haven't read anything about a possible solution.
Should I flash a different kernel?
I have a H990DS.
Thx

I see, so it must be something causing high cpu usage(the only thing capable of using so much power in just an hour). Does it heat up? If so, there must be an app using too much CPU, or the kernel is boosting the cpu way too high even on light loads. It happens independently of the screen being off or on. I don't use data, just WiFi occasionally, when I'm driving. Literally the phone just stays in the car for Android auto usage. It used to last me 2 to 3 days but with this ROM it can easily go from 80 to 0 per cent in a matter of an hour without being used.
It doesn't heat up. I only have installed android auto, Google Maps, Waze, YouTube music and TuneIn radio... What other kernel can be used with this from?I see, so it must be something causing high cpu usage(the only thing capable of using so much power in just an hour). Does it heat up? I would check if there are any apps draining too much battery at first and see what can be done about it. But if you want to change the kernel, there are a few that work on Lineage 18.1 and Lighthouse. Apart from the stock kernel, there's the mk2000 kernel and SwanKernel, both aim to improve the battery life and performance of the device with some small differences in their approach, so one might be better than the other depending on your usage. If none of them improve your situation, it will likely mean that the problem is coming from an app.It doesn't heat up. Thanks
Thanks and what about gapps what other versions can I use?I would check if there are any apps draining too much battery at first and see what can be done about it. Gapps is a bit different from the kernels, you will only be able to flash Gapps for Android 11 on lighthouse, but what you can change is which version of it you will flash. In regards to package size and amount of apps, it ranges from pico to stock (tvmini and tvstock, as the name implies, are for android tvs and super is just overkill for everyone).

Pico gives you the minimum amount of google apps and essentially has only the things needed to get Google Play working, while stock loads the phone up with every google app present on an updated Google Pixel. Pico usually has the lowest storage/memory/processing footprint, but it isn't much of a game changer in most cases.
second screen works just as a status bar. I don't see or feel any battery issues and the normal version come with gaaps while the vanilla is empty but I just switched to lineageOS for MicroG, since lighthouse has a broken spoofing for microG. (if they ever were to make spoofing working and make it soo ONLY microG is allowed to do it, il return to lighthouse)Hi, I have a question, I have LG V20 H918, which is a T-Mobile variant and is Volte working, is the second screen working, and I would like to know, does it have a battery issue with that. Like Draining fast. I have another question do I need to install Gaaps with it. Please Help.
Right now work is being done to boot A12, A11 development is currently stopped in the meanwhile as there hasn't been any significant changes that justify spending 40 hours of building. But yes as for when a new update will come, late November to early December, and this update will arguably be the biggest update the V20 has seen in a long time, assuming we bootWhen I check downloads from the link on the OP,I see that the latest version for H918 is almost 3 months old 8/14/21. When might there be updates?
Thanks: useful information. I know you asked this in crDroid as well, but this answer is valid for both roms as far as i tested (Lighthouse is my current one).Does anyone know if this is more stable or less stable than the lineageos 16?
Ah yes my bad, added the download link. Also no, this is still based on A11.Thank you so much! Is this based on Android 12?Where can I download the rom
Nope, the latest build's security update is from "September 5, 2021" here.Hi is this regularly updated with the monthly Android security update? thanks!
