And with XZ1 coming loaded with 5th August patches, I guess we are quite done there too.

I've created an XZ1 + XZ1 Compact root/DRM bounty thread, and you might want to repost your info about the BT bug/potential exploit there.whistles

i will move to xz1 bounty donate for it . i will move my donation to xz1I've created an XZ1 + XZ1 Compact root/DRM bounty thread, and you might want to repost your info about the BT bug/potential exploit there.
I believe the XZ1/XZ1 Compact bounty will gain a lot more traction because there's a larger market for both models compared to the XZ Premium, they are new devices so more news coverage recently and more popularity means more potential bounty pledges!
That's EXACTLY why I haven't updated my phone. My father saw it and was about to tap the update option for me, and I told him I want to keep any security breaches open, so that I could backup the DRM keys.Hmm no new pledges in 2 weeks. I'm going to test the andro dumper myself. I've been on vacation so I haven't had time.
Also the above link that Mirhl posted seems like it could be very useful. I have held off updating my XZP so I still have the Day 1 version with no updates made what-so-ever. I advise anyone who wants to back up DRM keys to keep their devices unpatched in case we get a method to backup DRM keys via this new exploit.
Not like you cannot rollback to older firmwares, ya know? That's EXACTLY why I haven't updated my phone. My father saw it and was about to tap the update option for me, and I told him I want to keep any security breaches open, so that I could backup the DRM keys.

No. There already is an official bootloader unlock. There's no unofficial one because there's no need - the official one works. It's just that it wipes your DRM keys. That's the entire problem. If an official bootloader unlock came out, would that keep the DRM keys?
Ah that makes no sense to me, why does Sony even give the option if that happens anyway? No. There already is an official bootloader unlock. There's no unofficial one because there's no need - the official one works. It's just that it wipes your DRM keys. That's the entire problem.
