Hmm no new pledges in 2 weeks. I'm going to test the andro dumper myself. I've been on vacation so I haven't had time.

Also the above link that Mirhl posted seems like it could be very useful. I have held off updating my XZP so I still have the Day 1 version with no updates made what-so-ever. I advise anyone who wants to back up DRM keys to keep their devices unpatched in case we get a method to backup DRM keys via this new exploit.

And with XZ1 coming loaded with 5th August patches, I guess we are quite done there too.
I've created an XZ1 + XZ1 Compact root/DRM bounty thread, and you might want to repost your info about the BT bug/potential exploit there.

I believe the XZ1/XZ1 Compact bounty will gain a lot more traction because there's a larger market for both models compared to the XZ Premium, they are new devices so more news coverage recently and more popularity means more potential bounty pledges!

That's EXACTLY why I haven't updated my phone. My father saw it and was about to tap the update option for me, and I told him I want to keep any security breaches open, so that I could backup the DRM keys.

Guys, I just got an email from one click root that they can also now root the xz premium 8141 (they had the 8142 already). I have contacted them to ask about drm keys. Fingers crossed....

Scam.

The people who respond are "all women" (I don't believe it), and they said the app won't root my phone, but that they could root my phone for me for 30 dollars if I have a stable windows PC and a cable. As I said, a complete scam. I obviously replied with "no thanks".

I pledge 50 bucks, I did a bounty for the LG G5 and followed through with my pledge.

Be confident that I'm good with this ledge as well.

Can someone hack the older Xperia camera app to be compatible with this phone instead? I only care about the ability to use the camera to it's full resolution/functionality. I'm still torn between this and the S8 (which has a worse camera).
