OS Query ?

Hello there dear friends,
I've been searching ? the net for a while to find an answer in my query, but that was in vein.
I do apologize in advance if this question already exists in here, but I cannot find it (maybe in a bit thick).
So, my question for you is, I'm owning a Galaxy S7 G930F international version from ?? Cyprus. Can I flash the official ROM from another country? More specifically, UK (BTU), on this phone ? ?
Thank you for your time and assistance ?
Have a great day, Giorgos. :cowboy:

That didn't really answer my question.
Yes it will brick.
OR
No it will not brick.
Yes it will. The hardware is comoletely different. You may have betrwr luck flashing the firmware of the g930u because the hardware should be the same tp the one of g930w8 but you should resesrch about that before trying if you don't want to end up with a half-working phone

I have problems to install latest ROM on my S7 SM-G930F. Currently installed is V XXU2DRB6 +++AND+++ TWRP V3.2.1-1.

I downloaded the latest version with SamFirmware_download_tool 3.6 and got the file SM-G930F_1_20180521110554_zhq0ffe25r_fac.zip. Trying to install this with TWRP failed and also an installation with Odin 3.12.7 of the 4 files after unzipping did not work.

Any hints?

Hi all! Can anyone recommend a stable firmware?
So far I've tried the latest BTU and the latest ITV but with big problems: Poor battery life, System processes that consume a lot, can't upload instagram stories with video / GIF / boomerang.
This Oreo firmwares that I tried are not stable, I wanted to go back to the first firmware btu nougat but I read that I can not do downgrade of bootloader from 2 to 1.
So I ask which firmware with compatible bootloader can I put that is stable of battery especially?

Hello, guys long time I haven't done anything to Samsung phones and need some quick help:

Current phone: G930F Unlocked and Branded to Region code XEG (1&1, Germany) (Not rooted)

Mission is to debrand this phone and attach it to a UK Region. Hard Reset not a problem, but main thing is to keep receiving OTA Updates.

I downloaded the UK BTU Rom from Updato.com

Which files do I need to flash in Odin? And do I need to use re-partition option?

Can anyone help me?
I installed the last phn after replacing the battery of my s7, now the phone WITHOUT active fast charge still recharges about 1h20m and while charging a little warm up. My impression is that even if the fast charge settings are disabled, however, it remains in operation. Has anyone noticed the same thing?

Sorry if this isn't the place for this question. But I was wondering when going to a firmware that has a different CSC from the firmware you currently have. Do I need to do anything different in the flashing procedure using Odin?

Be sure you are using the least odin 3.11.1 version. If so, you can flash your original csc, modem with ap file from the least firmware posted here.
No data lost, no warranty void, no trip knox because you are using original, untouched files from Samsung

If you use your own csc then say goodbye to OTA updates. When you change the csc you must use the csc file and that will factory reset your phone (that is part of the csc switch process)

updated to Oreo via Samsung Smart Switch but it installed build G930FXXU2ERGE (which I think is UK BTU) and baseband G930FXXU2ERGC, but wifi calling is missing.

Which firmware should I download and install via Odin that has WiFi calling (UK)?

In this thread, You can share the Mega-Links of new firmware's (OFFICIAL STOCK) for the Galaxy S7 (so: NO CUSTOM ROM's and/or ROOT-talk)...

How to flash firmware to your phone:

WARNING WARNING WARNING -> Before flashing, ACTIVATE PIN in "Secure startup" (You'll be asked for it AFTER flashing!)

    1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
    2. Download Odin v3.11.1
    3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
    4. Open Odin v3.11.1
    5. Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
    6. Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
    7. Add the firmware files to their designated slots
    8. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
    9. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

*** You can always find the LATEST firmware in msg #2

The main file, is made for the Netherlands (CSC=PHN).

If you have another CSC, i.e. SEB (Baltic):
    1. download the MAIN-file and extract AP BL & CP
    2. download the latest firmware for your country, and extract the HOME_CSC of your country
    3. Place the extracted files (including YOUR HOME_CSC in the designated slots of Odin)

With Odin v3.11.1, you DON'T HAVE TO ALTER the HOME_CSC anymore! (this was necessary in previous Odin v3.10.7 (that version couldn't handle with the "folder" in the HOME_CSC and Odin would "freeze!); this problem is SOLVED in v3.11.1!)
