Google Pixel 4a
Heyho, looking into flashing my Pixel 4a with the Superior Rom. Flashing Pixel 4a is quite a bit different than with my old Xiaomi Mi4c just using TWRP, so I have some questions, and hope someone can help here.

For one I assume when the guide says reboot into recovery, this just means reboot into fastboot with Powerbutton + Volume Down, since no custom recovery is installed, since everything works with the modified boot.img?
Or from fastboot select go into recovery mode?

In any case, when I try to post the command there:
"C:\ADB>fastboot flash --slot all boot boot.img"

the command line spits out the error:
"fastboot: unknown option -- slot"

I use "Minimal ADB and Fastboot", does this not include the --slot option, or do I something wrong already there?

Google Pixel 4a
thanks, everything worked now:
Reinstalled google drivers using Android Studio/SDK
My Phone was recently reset to factory settings because of a repair, but I needed to go trough the setup wizard and activate USB Debugging again
Then do the first line updating the boot.img in the fastboot menu, then the next step in the recovery mode menu.

After that the guide war fully clear and easy going and now I am setting up my phone with the CustomRom.

Thanks for the help.

Is Navbar button customization (Smartbar) something that could be implemented in the near future?
I like using OmniSwitch as my recents and almost-homescreen/app launcher, and on my old phone (which still runs SuperiorOS 9) I used the "menu" button to open it.

I got OmniSwitch itself running fine, but without the ability to edit the navbar it's not really usable. I tried a few 3rd party navbars, but hiding the stock bar also made them disappear. I guess just some sort of a workaround with that could be enough though.

Have you had a look at fooView. Its more a fly-out Pie control, but it has much more fesatures / abilities than what I use. Its actually an annoyance for me, as all I want from it is the pie lfeatures. There ios a thread here on XDA for it as well as being able to get it from the playstore.

EDIT: here's the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...er-shapes-customized-search-20201231.3326901/

    Ok so here's an update!

    CLEAN FLASH HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Part1 : (Update the bootloader and radio images to Januray update)
    *Reboot to bootloader

    fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-sunfish-s5-0.2-6539975.img
    fastboot reboot-bootloader
    fastboot flash radio radio-sunfish-g7150-00018-200701-b-6643937.img
    fastboot reboot-bootloader

Copy paste the above commands one by one to update your partitions to January update!
(You can skip Part1 if you are coming from December or January stock update)

Part2: (Rom clean flashing steps as usual)
    *Reboot to bootloader

fasboot flash --slot all boot boot.img

    * Reboot to recovery
    * Factory reset
    * Apply update -> Apply via ADB

    adb sideload SuperiorOS-Xcalibur-sunfish-OFFICIAL-20210107-1055.zip

    Done, Reboot and Enjoy!

boot-07-01-2021.img is provided in the same download folder along with bootloader-sunfish-s5-0.2-6539975.img, radio-sunfish-g7150-00018-200701-b-6643937.img and SuperiorOS-Xcalibur-sunfish-OFFICIAL-20210107-1055.zip

Also yes we are still using DU recovery for flashing!

Safetynet without root hack didn't actually works after December update so sorry about that!

I don't really remember what are the rom side changes so explore yourself!

Please read the steps thoroughly before asking question in here!
