Settings --> Wifi --> Menu ---> Advanced --> "Always allow scanning"

Uncheck that if you want WiFi to turn off when you have it off.

Google has this feature on so they can use location services for known WiFi hotspots (even if you don't connect to them) while you're traveling.
Thank you!

note 3 kitkat issue

so i switched to kitkat almost immediately. I stuck with the original rom by beans and it worked great for a few hours. then it starts to lag, phone gets hot and battery drains. its fixable with a restart or battery pull but i have to do this every day. so i flashed hyperdrive rom hoping this would help. same issue. then i switched to biggins ROM and still same issues. has anybody else had this problem? or does anyone know of an app that may be causing this? I have some time off from work soon and i may try to start over and just add an app a day until i figure out what is causing this problem. any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

i know what you are talking about and on NC4 Stock Root Jasmine 1.1.1 i have not had those issues at all. he is about to release 2.0 and it should only get better.

Thank you. I was starting to think that I'm the only one having these issues. I've been a little nervous about making the switch to nc4 because I read somewhere that you cannot go back to jelly bean.

root note 3

I'm sorry for asking this question, I'm kinda new to this and can't find any way of rooting this phone. Can someone tell me how to root the Verizon note 3 that has all ready been updated to kick at 4.4.2 ? I have t-mobile and can't use 4g lte without root. Please help.

At this time, there is no way to root a stock 4.4.2 phone.

made the switch to nc4

And my phone works so much better. not sure what was affecting my note 3 on nc2 but i've been going for 24 hours now and i haven't had to restart and not having any lag. the jasmine ROM seems to work well although limited but still allows you to go back to nc2 or mje.
