My Best Buy flashed me to NB4. OTA worked fine after that. Didn't even lose data.
Worked for me! Wiped my phone but who cares! LOLHas anyone had any success downloading the update from here, then changing it to a zip file and putting it on there sd card, then updating through stock recovery?
Tried with it on sd card, didn't work and wiped my phone. I tried through adb sideload and get a system/lib/libdcs.so has unexpected contents and E:Error in /tmp/update.zip (status 7). Unless someone knows whats up I am driving to best buy.Worked for me! Wiped my phone but who cares! LOL
Have you tried it with NB4 and then with this update or alone...Tried with it on sd card, didn't work and wiped my phone. status 7 may be a bad update.zip, try unziping with 7-zip to testTried with it on sd card, didn't work and wiped my phone. The status 7 is just a failed flash. Unexpected contents means its not there or changed. Replace that file and try again.Tried with it on sd card, didn't work and wiped my phone. That's what I did exactly. Whenever I came across a file error, I just replaced that file and tried again. Sooner or later I had no file errors and a successful upgrade to KitKat.The status 7 is just a failed flash. Unexpected contents means its not there or changed. Replace that file and try again.
That is the easiest way, but you forget people like me that have to drive 100 miles to find a best buyFor anyone trying to find an easy way around this whole update mess. Just go to your local best buy store and talk to one of the Samsung reps. They don't have the kit kat update yet but however they can reflash 4.3 on your phone wiping out all your data (make sure you do a back up from home) and this will let you get the OTA update with no problems. My note 3 has been rooted twice one being last night and it worked. Just make sure your not rooted when you take your phone.
Sorry I live in New jersey I was not aware of thatThats is the easiest way, but you forget people like me that have to drive 100 miles to find a best buy
I doubt it you would need to go back to stockDo y'all think BB or AT&T would reflash to 4.3 IF we take it in being on the leaked kk?
