I upgraded and checked Foxfi. No it doesn't work anymore. If anyone has an alternative (without root), let me know. Thanks
Anyone else having this problem? I'm avoiding the update because I don't want to lose Foxfi... bklm1234, is it still not working for you? Did you leave the other device hooked up for a few minutes to see if it eventually worked? On mine, without the update I have to leave my laptop on the Foxfi WiFi network for two or three minutes before it get internet...

But I wanted to give back bc I had the same problem at 27%. Took it to best buy still rooted like an idiot and they wouldn't do anything for me.. I thought since it said official I was OK but no.. Unrooted went back had them flash nb4 with smart program and then when I got home I had to do factory reset then was all good! Thanks everyone here been following this thread since the beginning
Does Samsung at Bestbuy flash to NB4 or MJ5? Would they be able to flash NC2 to NB4?
I upgraded to NC2 Kitkat (OTA), but I forgot to unroot it before I did the OTA. Now I'm stuck with NC2 since there's no way to go back to MJ5.

You would be stuck regardless of having root or not. The bootloaders changed from the previous 2 updates.

They will not downgrade the software.

Anyway of rooting 4.4.2 yet ?
If anyone tells you yes today (April 1), I wouldn't believe it.

Just to add another data point, I was rooted using Kingo, and lost root with the NB4 update. I attempted to take the KK OTA on two consecutive nights, failing at around 29%. Then I re-rooted using Kingo and restored a handful of AT&T apps I had previously backed up and uninstalled with Titanium (I didn't have Pro then so I uninstalled rather than freezing). A couple days after restoring those apps (both system & data), I tried the OTA again, and it worked. I'm now on KK.

That said, even though I'm official, Isis still knows I was previously rooted, and won't run. I imagine it's just seeing SuperSU and perhaps other signs of the old root? Makes no difference to me at this point, just curious.

I will say, KK does seem more snappy. I know that could be my imagination, but it does seem like I can feel the extra free ram so far. I just miss the green battery indicator.

I'm trying to find out the same thing; my daughter's BF has an N900A, rooted on 4.3, but I don't see anywhere that 4.4.2 has a rooted stock image available...
No root possible yet, if there's a root available your will know. :D

So i just went back to stock MJ5, and NB4 was pushed to the phone. But now that Kit Kat is out, how do i get the update? I already went to settings>general>about device>sofware update>check for updates but nothing happens. plus everytime I click on check for updates it keeps saying "current software is up to date"

Does anyone know how to push the update to the phone??? maybe a trick to make the phone look for the update in the system. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Please try to use the search function or Google.

The general section will have tutorials for you since you did the Revert to MJ5.

So I did a factory reset from within the phone and that seemed to force the update to the phone :D my wife is excited to get kit Kat.

That battery life actually got worse over the week. Now, I had my phone on wifi with auto screen and battery saving mode and didn't use it. After about 20 minutes, I lost 3% with most of it coming from com.sec.android.app.sbrowser... and the rest from media server. What is running in my background? I clear up the RAM and end all applications just to be sure.
