Yea im kinda hoping the new modem takes care of the intermittent data drops where I have to toggle airplane mode to get it back.

The prophet has spoken... we will await a new alpha with an open mind and an open heart. Thank you wise prophet for shedding light on this matter. All your loyal subjects will patiently wait.Ok... so there was an official update... this will likely set me back a day or two getting everything in to the new base (hoping that most places I played around in will be minimally changed) but once I do I'll get a "new" alpha together for folks. I didn't quite finish SystemUI but I did manage to get through some of the "trickier" things, with tricky being defined as "relating to areas where things changed between 4.3 and 4.4.2" - there are still a few of those left but might as well rebase now before moving along too much farther.
Will we need to officialy update? Or maybe we are fine to flash this with nb4?Ok... so there was an official update... this will likely set me back a day or two getting everything in to the new base (hoping that most places I played around in will be minimally changed) but once I do I'll get a "new" alpha together for folks. Probably just the bootloader and modem. Just so you won't run into problems. Will we need to officialy update? Or maybe we are fine to flash this with nb4?

+1 on all that you said +,hopefully I'll be running tweaked on my n4 with the unlocked boot loader....Yea this rom is just insane. Between wallys sik themes and how perfect every version of Tweaked has ran on every phone I ever had I dont even know what to say anymore. I think im just gonna shut up. Im still running Tweaked 4.1.2 on my note 2....

I donno about the unlocked bootloader part, seems like we're heading in the locked down direction little by little but yea I hope so too. Im ready to dish out a nice chunk of change for dwiths n4 when the time comes. That is if he is still up for making another one of his little mess projects as he calls them. You know the tinkerer guy....+1 on all that you said +,hopefully I'll be running tweaked on my n4 with the unlocked boot loader....

Excellent contribution, thanks so very much. =)First delete WeatherWidgetDaemon.apk which is located under /system/app and install this apk as a regular apk:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1lt3e34g9qcp2kv/WeatherDaemon2014.apk
Also if your looking forward to get the s5 AccuWeather widget, then also grab this apk and install as a regular apk.
But first, delete the old AccuWeatherwidget2013.apk which is also located under /system/app. Then install the following apk as normal.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gw19tx1fqtjqqj8/AccuweatherPhone2014.apk
For s5 widget, you will need both apks.
Note 3 is poppin!
Me too. =)Yea this rom is just insane. Between wallys sik themes and how perfect every version of Tweaked has ran on every phone I ever had I dont even know what to say anymore. I think im just gonna shut up. Im still running Tweaked 4.1.2 on my note 2....

Yes, this is the approach that I took to update to NE6, and then I flashed my Tweaked alpha nandroid, which seems to have worked out so far. There are a couple of wrong instructions in Jovy's post there though, but just minor stuff. Plus I have windows 8.1 so I could not use ODIN 3.07 and had to use 3.09, which is a little different set up. On top of that, I had to use ODIN twice to get the update to take (modem did not update at first) , which I have seen several reports of.Hi. It's me. You know, good ole stick in the mud. Yup, I'm still on Jelly Bean tweaked and loving it (sorry dirtybuddha). But as the official kitkat tweaked is nearing, I'd like to begin to make the transition to kitkat. To convert from Jelly Bean to kitkat can I use the odin approach for the stock ne6 as described in the second post of jovy23's recent thread on the deodexed version. Then I root and add recovery. As I like playing with deodexed version I would probably next flash the deodexed version in the first post of that thread. But the main thing is that, at this point, I would be ready to flash the kitkat tweaked when available. At least that is the hope. Anyways, I always get nervous doing this type of thing as I've only done it a few times. Please chime in if you think of a better approach. Regardless, a special thanks to dwitherall and wally for all their nice work and I hope everyone got a chance to take a break and enjoy Memorial Day.
Unrealistic..... For most people.. but for you// dwitherell. highly plausible... Or, a strong possibility. Or,,,, a better chance of than not.. I BELIEVE....Hey everyone -
So I've had a chance to take a very brief peek at how things have changed under the hood... the changes (as benign or trivial as they might or might not be) are numerous, so it will take some time to get back to where I was on the new base. I'm going to try my hardest to be relentless on this to get back to where I was on the original 4.4.2 base, but it takes time. Once I do (and maybe have made a step or two beyond where I was at) - I'll get a thread together for folks. I really like the IRC thing as it's far easier to work through things in a more real-time communication format, but I get it's not for everyone.
Here's hoping I'll have something soon - I'm gunna set the bar unrealistically high and say the goal is before June... please note that I said "unrealistically"...
Thanks for your comments. I'm sure if I go through this process a few more times it will not be such a big deal for me. But could you comment on where and what the wrong instructions were. This kind of thing always worries me... Thanks again and I'm glad its working four you!Yes, this is the approach that I took to update to NE6, and then I flashed my Tweaked alpha nandroid, which seems to have worked out so far.
