Neither TWRP 3.0.0-2 nor 2.8.7.0 decrypts for me. Encrypted on CM13 with a pin. Neither the PIN nor the lollipop default_password allows me to decrypt /data. I can mount /system though without a password and am able to sideload nightlies. Theoretically it would be possible to flash whatever you want without sideloading, but TWRP can't mount /data so it can't see /sdcard (as it's a simlink to an encrypted partition). If the nightlies could fit in /cache that would work, but they're too large. EIther sideload or use usb-otg and a thumbdrive. It works

U still need to stay with the modified one rather than official.hi ghul21, does the 3.0.1.0 recovery work with the oos 3 beta? or i still need to stay with the hydrogenmm-compatible recovery?

Decryption fixes were merged into 3.0.2-2.3.0.1 fails to decrypt /data for me. 3.0.0-2 works fine.
This seems to be an issue with the core. Decryption fails on all of my devices I have tested so far: mako (N4), bacon (OPO), OnePlus 2.
Yup. I submitted the fix.Decryption fixes were merged into 3.0.2-2.
As long as the recovery can decrypt data to read zips etc off your storage, you are all set. Idk about hybrid, but stock TWRP is supposed to be able to decrypt now.Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I want to get this straight.
I can now use encryption on my OP2? Last time I was looking into this, I could only have either encryption or root.
So if I install TWRP 3.0.2-2 and Cyanogen or OOS3, I can encrypt my phone and still flash things in recovery (superSU and other stuff)?
Can anyone confirm this? Is there anything special I need to do, or should I just install twrp, and then use the settings to encrpyt the device? As long as the recovery can decrypt data to read zips etc off your storage, you are all set. It's mentioned in a few other threads but:same issue with me....can anyone provide solution please. I am using OxygenOS 3.5.6
Try repairing the filesystems.TWRP reboots into OS when I try to wipe data (both from factory reset and advance wipe).
I am using F2FS and also recently flashed OxygenOS 3.5.8 full zip before switching to LineageOS so could be either of the two which are causing an issue. The only way to get around this is to reformat the entire data partition which I cannot afford to do everytime.
TWRP version : 3.1.1-0
Can someone with cache and data as F2FS point out if this issue is caused by the file system or is it just me?
