Would anyone help me? I saved the Magisk file to internal memory, but when I try to install TWRP (fastboot boot twrp.img) the internal memory files are encrypted.

How do I decrypt these files so I can do the Root?
Remove before entering twrp, the password on the phone itself, and of course turn off the fingerprint, too, after that everything should work. Either use a memory card ..

It does not appear for me the option to enter the password and even removing the password from the mobile phone the internal memory still remains encrypted.

I can not even back up through TWRP that the error message is displayed:
"Can not create '/data/media/0/TWRP' folder (Operation not permitted). Failed to make backup folder."

Does anyone else have another suggestion to solve my problem?

Developer mode and the corresponding options are included in it?

after installing MAGISK, can I install regular updates just as I normally would? or after magisk updates will brick? I noticed dmverity is disabled by default after unlocking bootloader so my guess we don't need to install universal DM-Verity disabler before installing magisk? correct? I remember we had to install dm-verity on z2 play before installing magisk.

edit: yes you can install OTAs even after installing Magisk on phones with A/B partitions, z3 is one of those, but it only works if you install Magisk using the method described here as "Boot Image Patching", easy AF.
edit2: correct, you don't need to install dm-verity on z3 Pie because it disables verity automatically.

Is it now possible, with TWRP 3.3.0-0 to flash? I know on another a/b device (Moto G7) it becomes possible

I ask because i don't have regular access to a PC, and need a plan b if a magisk module or something else f*cks my device up
Have you ever used this? I haven't tried it on Z3P because I'm still locked, but I've used it on my Google devices. I will be trying it out on my Pixel 3a which will be my first root with Magisk (always used SuperSU.)

Doesn't work on an a/b device, it wont recognize any of our partitions because they're named different

Though yes I've used it with success on an older a only device

The z3 play however is A/B partition style

Does Xposed work on Pie builds? EdXposed or TaiChi, as official doesn't support it yet.I'm just before unlocking the bootloader (got my Play yesterday) and am choosing between stock woth MAGISK and Xposed and some Treble custom, as there are many thing I HAVE to modify, voz I hate hoe it looks. Would prefer to stay with stock as i have 3 MotoMods and will be buying camera one in next few days and they seem to have problems with customs :(

I couldn't even get the phone not to boot loop with Oreo. The latest security updates break Xposed for my device and Xposed aparrently needs an update to fix this.

I'm only able to get the TWRP logo when I "fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-1-beckham.img". There are no buttons or anything.
I CAN still shell into it, but am looking to sideload Magisk into my device.
I can't sideload Magisk with the stock boot/recovery because of "failed to verify whole-file signature".

Using dmesg, I did see
Code:
[ 3.926387,0] ueventd: loading /devices/soc/c176000.i2c/i2c-2/2-001d/firmware/MotorolaCapSense.hex took 200ms
[ 3.926425,5] cyttsp_streetfighter 2-001d: Unable to get firmware MotorolaCapSense.hex
[ 3.926811,0] ueventd: firmware: could not find firmware for drv2624.bin
[ 3.926873,0] ueventd: loading /devices/soc/c176000.i2c/i2c-2/2-005a/firmware/drv2624.bin took 200ms
[ 3.926897,4] drv2624 2-005a: drv2624_firmware_load, ERROR!! firmware not found
[ 3.927918,4] EXT4-fs (mmcblk0p65): mounted filesystem without journal. Opts: (null)
That makes it look like it has something to do with touch.

In addition, I'm seeing
Code:
[ 249.397878,1] init: starting service 'sbinqseecomd'...
[ 249.418904,1] init: Service 'sbinqseecomd' (pid 697) exited with status 1
[ 249.418938,1] init: Sending signal 9 to service 'sbinqseecomd' (pid 697) process group...
[ 249.419053,1] libprocessgroup: Successfully killed process cgroup uid 0 pid 697 in 0ms
[ 254.404485,1] init: starting service 'sbinqseecomd'...
repeat what looks to be every 5 seconds.

EDIT0:
I just tried 3.3.0.0 right now and that is working correctly.

So I'm able to boot twrp, but it freezes at the spash screen for teamwin and doesn't go anywhere from there. Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I'm unlocked, so I don't think that's the problem, but I'm not sure what else it might be.

What version of TWRP? Latest official img has problem to boot. Use older one (3.3.0-0 should be fine).

Thanks for this comment. My Z3 play was hanging up on the latest TWRP. Older one worked.

I'm still getting Installation Failed when trying to patch the boot image with magisk though? Used to be so easy back in the day.
