After installing the S10+ recovery on rooted S10+ model SCV42 firmware KDU1CUD4 phone ended up in infinite boot loop, there was no way to boot into twrp, only restoring previous recovery/boot using odin solved the loop.

Besides this being a warning to those with a similar device I am wondering if TWRP recovery image has a depency to the installed firmware.

The answer to my question about TWRP dependencies seems to be yes, the recovery image is meant to work with android 9.
