Somethings not right, GitHub says xiaomi_wayne but Mi A2 is xiaomi_jasmine :/
I dont think both the devices would share same TWRP, someone please clarify !

MTP Do not work on official version , with TWRP-3.2.3-0810-XIAOMI6X-CN-wzsx150-fastboot everything is working fine. Tested on A2 converted to 6X.

No encryption, but you must format data (internal storage) if your storage is encrypted, after that you are good to flash anything...
