Go to install, select install image, navigate to your img file you want to to flash, and than choose persist. Swipe and flash, now your sensors should work again

its realy have persist partition
but after flash persist.img
my sensors stil not working
i have no idea whats wrong

i have gyro and acc sensors peroblem
when i erase persist patition.peroximity,gyro,acc sensors not working
when i flash persist.img,proximity fixed but gyro and acc stil not working

not working too
now im on havoc os custom rom but my firmware is miui10 v9.5.30
Is it necessary to return to miui?

So recently my rom maintainer switched from Pie being installed as /system and instead switched to SAR (system-as-root) which makes it /system/system

I've noticed official TWRP still mounts it as /system while my maintainers unofficial TWRP build mounts it as /system_root/system

but i wanted to know if the official TWRP supports SAR ?

but I'd like to thank you for brought this unofficial twrp up.
I just did a quick test with "fastboot boot" command and I can confirm this unofficial version of twrp 3.3.1.0 had solved the otg issue which I had on the official version of twrp.
fyi, I'm on miui 10.3.2.0 firmware with xiaomi eu 10.3.2.0 and I encrypted my data partition with it.
this unofficial twrp did manage to decrypt my data (can't verify with official miui ATM, though)
others might be interested with this decryption thing since I can't decrypt with pitch-black either.

my gut tell me to suggests you to stay with the unofficial version.
I just grabbed his latest version on github, btw (20190608)

Anyone in latest TWRP official getting stuck at the logo? It was working fine just before flashing LOS official and had to revert to TWRP 3.3.0.0 because now is the only recovery version working for me... Do you know how to fix this? I don't know if it's related to ARB

Some devices use the latest firmware and the latest twrp will black out the screen, use the old firmware and the latest twrp will not
