I'm still having the WiFi weirdness post-upgrade... :-(

I upgraded to these:
lineage-20.0-20221220-UNOFFICIAL-dopinder.zip
lineage-20.0-20221219-recovery-dopinder.img

I followed the wiki, which is written for people coming from a retail device, even though I was upgrading from 19.1. Since the build automagically upgrades the recovery, I'm guessing it would be simpler just to boot into the 19.1 recovery and flash the ...dopinder.zip - I think manually flashing the latest recovery is unnecessary?

I would also appreciate knowing what the correct upgrade procedures are...I often feel like I'm guessing lol
What kind of issues with wifi, do you have?
Like myself with wifi randomally losing connection and missing static ip config in the gui?
I wonder whether the issue is the device failing to renew its dhcp lease.

When I wake the device up, the WiFi is disconnected. Sometimes simply turning WiFi off/on will allow device to reconnect to my router; other times I have to power cycle the device.

I have zero issues with the Dopinder that I left running the retail OS.

Hi, is there any way to install LineageOS onto the very popular X96 Max series TV boxes (S905X2/X3)? Has anybody tried it?
I think we have everything to build a ROM for that boxes (dtb, kernel, bootloader etc.) just need to assemble the parts...

Awesome!!!

TY for the update last night! I am a Wade user, Netflix is now working perfect.

Issue::
Is anyone else having issues with Wade not waking up after extended period of time?

I press power button to put device to sleep and it will wake up shortly after that. but if I try to wake up device say in the morning. It will not come on without pulling the power plus.

I have place the do not stand by option in development mode on and same thing
I do not have CEC enabled.

This is really more noticeable on 19.1, would not power up after say few minutes, now much longer before problem

The only wifi problems i've had since 19.1 is that after reboot - apps installed to my flash drive do not want to connect to the internet until I have toggled wifi off and then back on. For whatever reason, my most used apps that I left on internal storage don't seem to have that issue.

The new January 8th build has the android January 5th security patch as well. So everybody here should upgrade to it ASAP.

I don't have a flash drive attached, but the main issue for me, is losing wifi after inactivity and having to manually connect.
Because wifi connection takes quite a long time (about 20-30 seconds I would say).
Is it a problem that maintainers could solve?
Is there anything we could do to help to find out the root cause of these issues and resolve it?

Just checked on my 19.1
No such option.
The only thing, that is related to wifi is verbose wifi logging.
Also has "keep dat active" which relates to cell data which must be a cosmetic bug?

I just bought two ONN dopinder devices to install these on. One will be for me to have fun with, the other will be for my parents. After a soft-brick I was able to recover and install LOS 20 on one them via aml-flash-tool. All is well except I cannot watch videos on Paramount+, Hulu, Prime Video, Peacock, (dont have a Netflix account). Is this due to the WideVine L1 issue? I dont mind as I will use it more for dev projects, console games and degoogled apps.

As for my parents' device, since they will use those streaming services. Does the old LOS 19 have L1 Widevine support so they can use those apps or should I just stick to stock?

On a side note, about an hour ago I updated to lineage-20.0-20230110-UNOFFICIAL-dopinder.zip build. SELinux says its disabled on this new update.

Thanks to all your continued work on this.

AFAIK, DRM protected apps typically won't work until L1 is working

yes, 19 has L1 and is what I'm using on most of my devices still

Cool. Is there a location where I can get the last LOS 19.1 dopinder build? Seems the github repo only has 20s. I tried looking on google but no luck.

I have the same issue.

On 19.1 and 20, in official and unofficial.

Yes, I can't speak for the developer but it seems as if the device goes into deep sleep and powers off and the remote nor the power button on the side of the device can wake it up. I went back to the original firmware and it works fine. After one or two days the power button on the remote will wake up the device. I did not see any differences in any of the settings available within developer mode to set it to not sleep while charging, so I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think it has something to do with a default Android setting that puts the device into deep deep sleep where nothing will wake it up and once again I don't want to be speaking for the developer, but maybe that's something to look at and I may be wrong, but it doesn't appear that the developer of unofficial lineage 20 actually has one of these devices for testing

Maybe if I get a chance I could try to capture a catalog of the default firmware and see if I can get that to the developer and see maybe if he can see what default settings the device resides in and how it wakes itself up

Selinux not enforcing was done to allow Netflix to work. Prime was working before that update.
I am using Wade and prime and Netflix both okay. Did you do a clean install

Long-time lurker here with a dopinder. I check in every so often to see the status of Widevine L1 on dopinder, as unfortunately Netflix is in use in our home.

I don't see any updates in this thread, so is it safe to assume things are still at the state they were in 19.1 - Not sure what the issue is, maybe something in the /factory partition?
There will be a huge announcement and a banner slapped in the OP when we fix that lol I promise, we have not yet

Thanks. I assume https://wiki.oddsolutions.us/devices/radxa0/build generalizes to 18.1 (it's a lot more detailed than the version on radxa wiki).
yup, just replace 20 with 18.1 and done

Ha! I just recommended to somebody they should buy one. I should have done research before making the suggestion because you can't buy a brand new one anymore.
Unfortunate. I really hope some producer sees the niche and releases a nice 4k device, with BT+IR remote (maybe also optional DVB-T2 receiver model) which can easily run Custom ROMs like LineageOS 20. And if I can dream hardware good enough for better games and AV1 etc. decoding - and Ethernet or external device USB connections... -_-

There are rumors of an ADT-4 coming out at some point so that might answer your wishes

    Amlogic GXL/GXM/G12*/SM1 Family Devices
    Code:
    - Your warranty is now void.
    - You have been warned.
    - Use at your own risk.

    Introduction:
This is the Official Lineage OS 20 thread for the Amlogic GXL/GXM/G12*/SM1 SoC family of devices.

    Downloads:
Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed:

    Official Builds:

Disclaimer: My unofficial builds have full Android TV Google Apps and some other goodies included. OTA's roll roughly once a month. Support not guaranteed or implied.

    Unofficial Builds:
We also support a few development boards, but at least (for now, until we have time to write up instructions), you're on your own to figure out the install process and set things up:
EDIT: The development boards don't boot on LineageOS 20 at the moment for some reason, but we know why and are working on it!

If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.

    Known Bugs:
    • Recent apps/Multitasking menu doesn't launch.
    • (sabrina only) The remote firmware sometimes gets hung up, you can reboot to solve this issue.
    • (dopinder/sabrina) L1 is currently broken, this is what is holding up official builds for these devices.
    Notes:
    • GApps are baked in on Unofficial builds - No, I will not be building without GApps included for this device. These builds are built, packaged, and signed by me, and not affiliated with LineageOS whatsoever.
    • Firmware is shipped in the ROM package for this device, so you'll end up on the newest version of compatible firmware after install. Please don't touch firmware partitions after install.
    • On the unofficial OTA is provided the same way officials would have them.
    • Find any more on an official build? Report them according to this guide.
    FAQ:
    • Does L1 Widevine DRM break when I unlock my bootloader?

Nope, it works fine. L1 certificates, and the mechanism that reports is all still exist and work as expected.

    • Can I haz Netflix?

Yup! Play Store has it for you. Unless you're on dopinder or sabrina, but that will be fixed soon hopefully.

    • Is this Android TV or Google TV?

Android TV, with some of the better components of Google TV.

    • Can I go back to stock and relock the bootloader?

Yeah, grab the factory image for your device and flash it just like you would for a Pixel device, you can find the factory images here. Don't know it I'd relock though, consider that process largely untested on these device. Especially on sabrina, where you can't necessarily re-unlock should you ever want to.

    • Are these the stock codenames for these devices?

Astute observation, no, they are not. The ADT-3 is actaully `adt3`, but earlier in production is was `deadpool`, which is much cooler. The Dynalink box internally is extremely similar to the ADT-3, so we coined it `wade` after Wade Wilson, AKA deadpool. The Onn box is in the same family, but different enough to coin it `dopinder`, after, well, go watch Deadpool the movie I guess. sabrina is actually the codename given by Google - no clue as to the reason.

    • Does it pass SafetyNet?

Maybe - the only sure fire way it Magisk, as our boot loader is unlocked and can't be relocked safely.

    • Does the stock remote work?

Yup, just like it would on stock, in-remote-microphone and all! If it's an IR remote like wade's, it will even work in recovery!

    • Can we we support higher resolution than 4K, higher FPS, or HDR on non-certified screens?

      Nope.

    • I have a very similar device! Can I install these builds and use them?

No. Please don't do that. You will brick your device, as we include firmware and bootloader images.

Yup, this was the issue. Thanks, my wade is working now again!
Any idea why the update also deactivated Magisk? Or was this because of re-flashing the GApps?
Backup tool was broken. it is fixed now.

Hi i'm new here to XDA, I was wondering where i could get help with my dopinder being stuck on lineage recovery and having no ADB or fastboot response even though i have it enabled. Basically its not recognized by my PC.

    Thanks!
Try a different cable/USB port/computer - these devices can be finicky.

With the latest build (lineage-20.0-20230110-UNOFFICIAL-dopinder.zip) WiFi is now automatically reconnecting when device wakes up! On device wake up, WiFi is initially disconnected but does reconnect after a few seconds. This is great news and thanks for the continued effort!
