[OFFICIAL/UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 20 for Amlogic GXL/GXM/G12*/SM1 Family Devices

Currently running the newest 20 (unofficial) release on Wade, and I'm running into a really weird issue. Long story short I got a new 4K TV and I'm trying to figure out why it's just showing "AndroidTV" on boot followed by a blank/black screen (no LineageOS boot splash, etc). The box will power on/show the home menu just fine when plugged into a 1080p TV (I've tested it back and forth and it's consistent).
The weird thing is that if you boot it up on a 1080p TV, then switch what TV the HDMI cable is plugged into (without powering off the box), it works fine on the 4K TV, as long as it doesn't turn off. If you do it in the opposite order (powering it on on the 4K then plugging it back into the 1080p), the black/blank screen will remain.
On either TV I can access recovery mode just fine. I've tried several different HDMI cables, different power cords, different power sources (brick vs TV vs even my laptop), even tried different home menu launchers (I was originally using FLauncher, but I set it back to the Google one), all with the same results. I haven't tried clean flashing/resetting Lineage yet (was trying to avoid that), but I can try that if need be.

I just bought a radxa zero hoping to install Android based on reading https://wiki.radxa.com/Zero/dev/LineageOS I see "
https://updater.oddsolutions.us/#/devices/radxa0/builds yields an error. I can't tell if building from 18.1 source is also impacted and whether there are any binary builds available?
The build guide for 18.1 works fine. Just sync github.com/TheMuppets/propreitary_vendor_amlogic to vendor/amlogic in the source tree. All will work fine then.
Are there any pre-built 18.1 binaries? Or is building from source the only option?
Thanks. I assume https://wiki.oddsolutions.us/devices/radxa0/build generalizes to 18.1 (it's a lot more detailed than the version on radxa wiki).
It sounds like you might have to update the recovery to match the date of the build you are trying to flash.
Ha! I just recommended to somebody they should buy one. I should have done research before making the suggestion because you can't buy a brand new one anymore. It has me considering donating mine since I usually just use the (inferior) Google tv built into my tv.
Unfortunate. I really hope some producer sees the niche and releases a nice 4k device, with BT+IR remote (maybe also optional DVB-T2 receiver model) which can easily run Custom ROMs like LineageOS 20. And if I can dream hardware good enough for better games and AV1 etc. decoding - and Ethernet or external device USB connections... -_-
There are rumors of an ADT-4 coming out at some point so that might answer your wishes

i'm trying to unlock my wade to install this on it. Did this with an other wade some time before. The box i'm trying this time now was brandnew. Unfortunately it upgraded the OS to Android 12 on first boot.
Now im stuck with 2 Problems.
First: OEM-Unlock in Developers Options is greyed so i can't activate it.
Second: Howto get back to Android 10? The Wiki says there are guides on the net, unfortunately i can't find it. Did anyone have some Informations for me howto do this or a link.

Is there a way (and guide) to compile LineageOS 20/19 for an X96Air S905x3 box? Did in the past build my own CM images for OPO (Bacon), but that is a long time ago. Want to learn/start again, but don't know where to start.
I just installed the 20230326 Dopinder build via the Updater and now the remote doesn't work. I've got multiple Dopinders and I confirmed that the device refuses to connect with multiple remotes. Factory reset also did not help.
When I was resetting the device, I also noticed that the Recovery was version 20230209. I thought the Updater was supposed to keep the Recovery up to date too. Any suggestions?

Awesome. Thanks for all your efforts in building this nice OS. And supporting and guiding us in installing and use of the software.
I have successfully installed 5/14 build. It booted up fine and now it is downloading 5/21 update.2
Use the remote, use the d-pad to navigate and then the power button on the remote to select2
everyone - won't give this advice out often, but for stock updates for these devices, pls @ me, I want to get these merged as quick as possible.
Want to avoid the "wade got 12 and I didn't know for 3 months" issue haha

But glad I'm able to figure it out myself. Same answer as @tenfox gave. Also just in case you updated to official wade's A12 and wanted to try out LOS 20, just need to flash dtb from LOS 19 in order for it to boot up (also by trying it out myself). -

This is the Official Lineage OS 20 thread for the Amlogic GXL/GXM/G12*/SM1 SoC family of devices.

Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed:

Disclaimer: My unofficial builds have full Android TV Google Apps and some other goodies included. OTA's roll roughly once a month. Support not guaranteed or implied.
Unofficial Builds:
- deadpool - Google ADT-3
- dopinder - Walmart Onn UHD Box
- sabrina - Chromecast with Google TV
- wade - Dynalink TV Box (4K)
We also support a few development boards, but at least (for now, until we have time to write up instructions), you're on your own to figure out the install process and set things up:
EDIT: The development boards don't boot on LineageOS 20 at the moment for some reason, but we know why and are working on it!
If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
- Recent apps/Multitasking menu doesn't launch.
- (sabrina only) The remote firmware sometimes gets hung up, you can reboot to solve this issue.
- (dopinder/sabrina) L1 is currently broken, this is what is holding up official builds for these devices.
- GApps are baked in on Unofficial builds - No, I will not be building without GApps included for this device. These builds are built, packaged, and signed by me, and not affiliated with LineageOS whatsoever.
- Firmware is shipped in the ROM package for this device, so you'll end up on the newest version of compatible firmware after install. Please don't touch firmware partitions after install.
- On the unofficial OTA is provided the same way officials would have them.
- Find any more on an official build? Report them according to this guide.
- Does L1 Widevine DRM break when I unlock my bootloader?
Nope, it works fine. L1 certificates, and the mechanism that reports is all still exist and work as expected.
- Can I haz Netflix?
Yup! Play Store has it for you. Unless you're on dopinder or sabrina, but that will be fixed soon hopefully.
- Is this Android TV or Google TV?
Android TV, with some of the better components of Google TV.
- Can I go back to stock and relock the bootloader?
Yeah, grab the factory image for your device and flash it just like you would for a Pixel device, you can find the factory images here. Don't know it I'd relock though, consider that process largely untested on these device. Especially on sabrina, where you can't necessarily re-unlock should you ever want to.
- Are these the stock codenames for these devices?
Astute observation, no, they are not. The ADT-3 is actaully `adt3`, but earlier in production is was `deadpool`, which is much cooler. The Dynalink box internally is extremely similar to the ADT-3, so we coined it `wade` after Wade Wilson, AKA deadpool. The Onn box is in the same family, but different enough to coin it `dopinder`, after, well, go watch Deadpool the movie I guess. sabrina is actually the codename given by Google - no clue as to the reason.
- Does it pass SafetyNet?
Maybe - the only sure fire way it Magisk, as our boot loader is unlocked and can't be relocked safely.
- Does the stock remote work?
Yup, just like it would on stock, in-remote-microphone and all! If it's an IR remote like wade's, it will even work in recovery!
- Can we we support higher resolution than 4K, higher FPS, or HDR on non-certified screens?
Nope.
- I have a very similar device! Can I install these builds and use them?
No. Please don't do that. You will brick your device, as we include firmware and bootloader images.
