battery drain is not fix it in this Update. I am with this update since 2 days. My battery usage is like before thE update.

I spent a night and the usage is great, but for now. 6% in 7 hours sleep. I will make further tests and report if it is finally fixed. It could be just a random occurence of good battery behaviour for this cycle only as it happened before. I will make 3-4 more cycles and report, if it is really fixed.

I'm in the UK and have had my S4 Mini for about 2 weeks and it came with 4.2.2 pre loaded. Really liking the phone after coming from a Sony Xperia S.

yes it will screw up your warranty as it flashes knox and waranty void 0x1 if you have something rooted

but root works? Either way I won my phone in a contest so there is no warranty

Unfortunately, the battery drain is back. it suddenly started at 2/3 battery level. No specific apps were started, just like before the update.

Will there be some sort of hack in the future so I can safely root my device and put some normal ROM?

It`s offically annonced that S4 mini will get 4.3 till the end of November and this is sure as Samsung anonce that Gear will support S4 Mini which mean 4.3 for us in the end of November.

As for the Rom I love the stock one and don`t need root as there is wifi tethering so I don`t need to play hacker just to have network on my laptop when traveling.

BMJ7 already has Gear support, and it's 4.2.2.

I'm Marcin from Poland. I just bought GT-I9192 (duos) version. I have two updates since now, via Air. Now i have JDQ39.I9192XXUAMI1 version but i have question about what does it mean that this phone is from "Egypt market" ? Should i worry of this ?
1. Could i have less or more or others updates than for example "German version" ?
2. Could i update phone with some, don't know, "German update" ? What about warranty ?
3. I read that from some version of firmware i could not root phone without loosing warranty. It's new phone so i will have warranty, but is it possible to root it and "undo root" without traces ? Where could i found "tutorial" ?

1. The region shouldn't make any difference regarding updates.
Don't know what you mean by "Egypt market". Don't you have a european firmware installed?
2. You can manually update/flash your phone with kies or odin without losing warranty as long as you don't root because this will increase your counter in the bootloader and then you most likely will loose warranty. But flashing official stock firmwares is "legal".
So far there is no possibility to fully unroot your device. But by the time when Triangle Away supports i9195 it will be possible.

But kies chooses the right firmware, doesn't it? Or what do you mean by "baseband does not match the build"?
Currently I have I9195XXUAMG8 running and it is DBT aswell.
Delete Knox apps in old firmware? I thought when I delete system files the updater script would fail because the script verifies the rom.

Yesterday I tried to install latest firmware from 3rd December. But got stuck at bootscreen. same results when i installed it over kies as a emergency recovery and initialising in kies. Don't know why i dont get any firmware running.
