Half an hour ago I received an update notification. In Zune it just says HTC Update without any change log. I installed it, everything went fine, but can't see any changes so far. My Titan is unlocked, from UK.

Does anyone know what's in this update?

The other HTC phones is getting Internet Sharing and performance updates. So I guess it is only performance updates for the Titan and Radar.

Clicking "more info" leads to Microsoft's site, which says "If you have questions about what's included in a phone manufacturer update, contact your phone manufacturer. " So I went to HTC's website, which has help pages for every phone they make except the Titan. Interestingly, when the phone is being updated, Windows refers to it as "Eternity" instead of Titan. This is what changed in the About page: (I underlined the parts that changed.)

Firmware revision number old: 1600.2200.10806.401
Firmware revision number new: 1600.2200.10902.401

Bootloader version old: 1.8.160015.3(132000)
Bootloader version new: 1.9.160015.3(132193)

also did an update through zune and can confirm that it installs new hardware as eternity but one thin is strange - my firmware is the same as urs but my bootloader is still the old one.

I dont know wether its my phone but i have flashed both this rom (1.09.401.02 Radio 16.23.02.09_A_16.24.00.23U) and done the official update, and what i consider to be a serious bug is present in this firmware, whenever you have headphones in and make a call , the volume changes to full volume, preceded by a noticable noise just before the change to full volume.
I already downgraded to the previous firmware and will undo the zune update now.

Can someone please confirm if the issue is local to my phone, or as i suspect a firmware issue.

I can confirm, that at least in my case the original rom which came with the phone does not have the issue. Too dangerous to get my eardrums blasted whilst riding a motorbike.
Versions after downgrade
Firmware: 1600.2200.10806.401
Radio: 16.23.02.09_2_16.24.00.23U
Bootloadeer: 1.8.160015.3(132000)
