Official Verizon update???

I'm not rooted and don't need to be. My question is directed to stock users. Did anyone have a neutral or. positive experience or does everyone experience poor battery life after update? Thanks.

I believe charging has become slow for me I used to be able to use YouTube and whole bunch of apps and my phone charge up fairly quick I don't know if it's due to the update note I haven't done a factory reset so you can take all this information with a grain of salt also everything seems to be smooth in my opinion just the battery was affected I will keep up the date of any problems that arise

That would be correct... The update from Verizon goes only to people with Verizon accounts that include the Note 3 as an active device.

Does anybody know what the normal.... Android system / kernel (Android OS) percentage usages is for the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with the latest update ? I believe them may be consuming too much resources / battery drain if you have more details on different resources could you tell me what the normal usages is for all services and processes + ram so I can compare

Not the OTA, but the entire NL1 package is available on sammobile.com you have to be a member to get it, but membership is free.

You'd have to use samsung's smart switch to load it and still keep your current aps and data.

Will, this phone didn't get a bootloader unlock until after it had been released for more than 2 years. Most folks that wanted to do dev work had already bought other phones and moved on by the time that happened.

It's decent hardware though.

If this update were a new os like nougat I might take the risk. It's funny my razr maxx hd got an update long after being disconnected from any network but my home wifi.

I would have no idea how to install NL1 with smartswitch.

I had to use the verizon recovery software to get my N900V back working and its now lrx21v.n900vvrsepl1
it has a new recovery boot menu with
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to boot loader

I'm new to trying other other versions.
I have a S7 edge that I use for my main phone so I'm using this old note 3 as a learning tool.
Sure do miss my Note 7 I'll be glad when the Note 8 comes out.

does anyone have the actual N900VVRSEPL1 firmware from sam's . I have an account there but the regular download option is locked and it seems you have to purchase a premium account to download the file..
I am trying to re-do my wifes phone and any help would be greatly appreciated.
