Hey there,
first of all great work with the ROM, it works flawlessly as my daily driver!

I have one issue though: USB OTG is not working.
It is in TWRP, but the ROM seems to not see anything.

I'm on a x821, latest release build.

Edit:
Now it is, after a reboot to verify it indeed works in TWRP.
Strange, but maybe a problem with some temporary file.
Issue solved, flawless ROM stays 😄

Heyyo @werdck , glad to hear USB OTG is working fine for you. Yeah not sure why it didn't work at first, but I'm glad you got it going! :)

@jean_htc , I made a new version with a addon.d script which should backup and restore that mod after every ROM update, so please give that a try and let me know if it works good for you. ;)

I am on the official LineageOS version and I also need to flash the APNs after ever update, I wonder why Lineage doesn't integrate the latest APNs into their tree?

Hey, me again: My camera's focus stopped working about 3-4 updates ago and hasn't revived yet, even on a clean install.

Can that be a ROM problem or is my camera dead? (Sometimes it works after anything between 3 and 10 minutes of directing the autofocus to different distances)
This happens with all camera apps I tried so far, including built-in ones as the one in wireguard for example.
Both the original API and Camera2 are affected.

Heyyo @werdck the camera actuator on our device is very sensitive to drop damage, so it is easy to damage it. Please go into Settings > System > Advanced > Advanced settings > focus fix and enable that. You will need to close and reopen any camera apps to try that.

Afaik ext4 should just work on USB OTG as we support ext4 as our default filesystem but tbh I haven't tried it in a long time

Thanks for the tip @ThE_MarD! It didn't work before, now after disabling and re-enabling it, it works! Curious though, I tried that multiple times before... Maybe it just needed a good word ^^

Yeah, the internal partitions are ext4/FAT. Mounting via terminal (rooted) works, just the UI / userspace seems to not recognize ext4 on USB.

By installing everything clean with the 466 firmware I got a 9008 mode. I have been able to unlock the phone with a qfil 5.9 26s ROM. I have also observed that the firmware and Modem are updated. Upload link and instructions in the next few days.

Thanks @ThE_MarD .
The day before yesterday I spoke with Tony and he gave me the key to the qfil file. After many attempts I made some adjustment in the settings and it worked. Then I start with 5.9 26s. Yesterday I could not start android 10/11 ... I will continue testing today.

Heyyo @spider_pig , thank you for the kind words! I definitely love my x2 as well and am glad at how good LineageOS 18.1 runs on it. I'm still waiting for the LineageOS 19.0 source code to get a little more refined before I attempt to build it again, so hopefully sooner than later we can get x2 up and running on it. ;)

@Luis4x4 , unfortunately max_plus never got anything newer than 13s and in theory it should be the modem firmware which also handles the fingerprint sensor too, which is why I made that pseudo 466d for max_plus firmware. You can't flash the full 466d firmware from x2 as it will brick on max_plus. If the pseudo 466d firmware for max_plus does not resolve fingerprint sensor not working when the device is asleep? Then there isn't a way to solve it without LeEco updating max_plus device firmware. :(
I think it will serve to authenticate things ... anyway it is a great job that you have done. It works very well and the battery lasts two days of use. It is equivalent to 4 cycles in an x900, a little more than the x850. Thanks friend.

@ThE_MarD I want to just add a heart felt thanks for everything you do, it means a lot to people like me that are on a very low income and could never afford a new phone. You are the best, thank you.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    Code:
    #include

    /*

    * Your warranty is now void.

    *

    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,

    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if

    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Heyyo, the official build for today was broken and I had it taken down. Sorry for anyone affected. I'll try to do a local build and check if it's our sources or if it was a build server issue
    4
I installed the new zip, here is the report.

    • YouTube and Vanced: 2160p60 working.
    • Instagram (version 150): working.
    • Instagram (version 197): artifacts in videos.
    Great.. thanks for your reply.
So we have the permanent solution with them and v150..

Heyyo @Immortal68 , thank you! I super still love my LeEco Le Max 2 and plan to keep using it too! There's still a bunch of device and vendor blob updates I want to perform too.

Plus? I still want to do the hardware part swaps on mine... But maintaining 4 devices plus my family time are really cutting into that lol... Oof...
    3
@kayyappan oh no! Broken screen? Oof... sorry to hear about that bro. :(

The light sensor isn't factored in with TWRP as automatic brightness isn't set up in TWRP, so the display not lighting is likely the display itself is defective or maybe just the cable needs to be reseated?

Also, x2 is on the official LOS 18.1 initial devices roster! w00t! So hopefully seriously these days off I can sit down and seriously focus on replacing parts as I'm very comfortable with the future of LOS for x2. ;)
