I thought S.O.P. was to get the OTA link, download it, pre-root it and then flash. Is there something about 5.0 that prevents this?
No. But I'm talking about people accepting and applying the OTA. Once the OTA is installed on your device, it's unrootable. The only way to root is to use Flashtool to go back to ZV4, then install TWRP, then flash a pre-rooted ROM.

Oh... I think you can just re-flash your rom again. don't delete anything but just flash the same rom as you currently on now.

U don't need to flash the rom again, u just need to freeze it with titanium backup and reboot. that worked for me.

To fix the smartcover problem flash this zip it will delete the smartcover lock screen widget but will still allow it to unlock the device. Also I have been emailing the xposed creator and this is what emailed me:

"Sorry, I don't have time to look into this at the moment... Maybe someone else has enough technical knowledge to check the logs for the root cause? The ClassNotFoundException for SmartCoverViewManagerService seems to be a good start, maybe there are other lines before that (verifier rejecting the class or something like that). Also, is that class even existing in /system/priv-app/LGCover/LGCover.apk?"

So maybe someone can fix it via this tip

Here is the link for the zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/how-to-xposed-running-properly-stock-t3030261 I am currently running it on barepop with no problems.
