To switch to 720p (screen sharpness shall be reduced significantly but the performance gain is definitely worth it)

via adb

adb shell wm size 720x1280

via Terminal Emulator

Make Sure to change your screen density to 320 or smaller as the default would result to absurdly big screen elements

To revert to 1080p

via adb

adb shell wm size 1080x1920

via Terminal Emulator

Make Sure to change your screen density to 480 or keep it as it is for a tablet-ish ui

I did it with the app resolution changer and adjusted dpi to 320 with textdroider dpi app. Worked well for me and no computer needed.

Try a 4.3 .101 Rom and/or 720p. I bet you can reach the 30k!

Yes, there is a bug, namely heavy graphical tearing due to the kernel. I do not recommend this constellation for daily use.
