I think the battery life of 800 is a bit lower than i expected.
Hope there is some updates to fix it.

I'm mainly always connected to Wifi as its less battery drain than mobile data. Are you on WiFi a lot too?
Ok ill give today ago with no Wifi and see what happens. Most of the complaints I've heard seem to be from heavy WiFi users.
When it comes to the HTC HD2, wifi is a much greater drain than 3G/HSPA. I imagine it's the same for many other devices.Ok ill give today ago with no Wifi and see what happens.
I'll post my findings later on.

I own Nokia Lumia 800 and HTC Desire HD also.

Patiently waiting to either afford the Lumia 800 or for an even more amazing device to be announced for the US.
Well I am on 79% so far, received about 5 emails, took off charge at 9am, cant tell if any improvement yet.Good luck. I'll do the opposite.
Well so far I'm at 48% left, it also says 3 hours since last charge on mine, WTF I took mine off at 9am!I'm having definitively different results. I'm still @ 88 percent but it says "time since last charge: 3 hours. Estimated time remaining: two hours. Given that I've only used 12 percent, that seems off... WiFi all day though.
Did you plug it on a computer ? Every power source reset the "Hours since last charge", event if it's plugged for 1 minute.Well so far I'm at 48% left, it also says 3 hours since last charge on mine, WTF I took mine off at 9am!
So it looks like better battery with Wifi off, where as my SGS2 has better Wifi management, still on 70% when I've been using it a lot!
Nope haven't plugged it into PC or put it on charge since this morning.Did you plug it on a computer ? Every power source reset the "Hours since last charge", event if it's plugged for 1 minute.
Having no cell network is not good. Idle w/ signal is one thing, but idle while searching for signal is quite draining. There are clear battery issues with some phones :/
For me:
Took off charge at 11am, 10 hours ago.
Estimated Time Remaining: 8 hours
Battery Life: 50%
Wifi on ALL the time, about 2 hours of music listening and the rest just a lot of texting. Sometimes I have no celluar network though.
50% left after 10hrs, man I'd be happy with that! There are clear battery issues with some phones :/

Facebook and Twitter all setup, I also get a lot of Emails from my University throughout the day (aswell as all the personal and somewhat spam mail). I have quite a few live tiles also and leave Facebook Chat online in Messaging.50% left after 10hrs, man I'd be happy with that!
Tell me have you got any social networks set up on your phone?

Man if I had as much data coming through like you do, it would be dead after 5hrs!Facebook and Twitter all setup, I also get a lot of Emails from my University throughout the day (aswell as all the personal and somewhat spam mail). When I unplug the device in the morning after a full charge it tells me I have 1 Day and 17 hours remaining, although I don't think I have got that in real life yet. Bare in mind that on most days, for around 80% of the day I'm connected to wifi and NOT searching (which might help battery). Also when I have no cellular connection it's because there is none in the area I'm in (basement robotics lab at uni) just incase anyone thought there was reception issues with the phone.
My advice to anyone with poor battery would be to either hold out and wait for this software update, find a way of getting it now (internet disconnect trick might work), or try and return the phone and get a new one (although it looks like the battery issues are on certain "batches" like the Vodafone UK handsets).
