OK Google activates but mic then stops??

Guys do you ever see Google Search activate by OK Google but afterward it doesn't take any input?

So for example my phone is charging and I say OK Google. Then Google search will initiate but the mic seems to not pick up anything afterwards. I have to then hit the mic button in Google Search to manually toggle the voice search. But after that first time manual intervention it will respond to OK Google voice activation.

Bump. I get something like this:

"OK Google" will wake the phone up and initiate Google Search, but then the mic doesn't recognize input until I press the mic button in Google Search.
