First of all, thanks for the answers. To remove any doubt there must be in the settings of Google app an Access with voice match section. There should be the option "even if the screen is off". Can you confirm that one?

From the screenshot above, it looks like the always on far field microphone is lacking from this phone. Without this microphone, you cannot trigger Google Assistant through the "Ok, Google" keyword when the screen is off.

Just to be clear, Google assistant can't be triggered when the screen is off on the A50, you have to wake the screen up for it to work.
