I use an older version of Spotify on my HU, and it works well (does not crash)
The biggest problem is issue nr. 2. After a few weeks all my offline songs are gone !#[email protected]$#$%^$%^$%^ This bug is still not fixed by Spotify.

Not quite, the question is, before considering a hardware+software (incl. Xposed) change, is the current MCU intermediate control of the sound processor really worse or how much more limited than the Android control of the same system.
If you could explain and exemplify what the Android via MCU control can't do as compared with your Android direct control, then an informed decision could be taken by any user.

one advantage I can think of right off the bat, is if you have used a multimedia keyboard with your head unit, you will realize that the volume control on the keyboard change is the Android volume, but does nothing for the MCU vol.

I'm not sure how it will work when two I2C masters compete for bus control. In theory, I2C should support multi-master configurations, but it could be implementation-specific and not work in this specific case. I have not tried.
Otherwise, no side effects other than you mentioned. But this efect will ruin all the functionality. MCU has its own internal state to communicate to the Sound Processor, and my software has own. They will tell the sound chip different things, you may imagine what would happen.
One may try to not cut the MCU control and report here what happened.

I would imagine that there would be no problem adding some switches to switch back to the default hardware configuration if needed.

7floor please don't take any of the criticism, or questions from this group as a deterrent to continue developing your awesome modifications. There was a lot of skepticism about the microphone modification when it was first mentioned.

if anybody on this thread want to deny that there are hardware problems with these units, then they have not dealt much with Chinese electronics!

Well, maybe someone will like Remade music and radio, made them transparent - translucent. Now, no matter what your wallpaper is - a living, or just a picture ..everyone be seen Applications are on my firmware on the other firmware is not very sure that they will go (do not know)

but the radio update for 1024x600 is not permanent, once I completely off the player & on back, the radio revert back to original interface

You need to go to Factory settings type 126 go into other look for rudder then tick it. Apply the change, exit and reboot.

It's already ticked so we tried unticking it then reboot then ticked it and reboot it but it's still the same.

Is it possible to show Music Informations on the Headunit while playing songs from Iphone 6 via BT?
I dont want to look on the Phone....it would be nice to see all the informations on the HeadUnit Screen.

Looks very good. Unfortunately they mix up with the other app styles. Maybe you have some time in the future to remake all MTC Apps including Bluetooth and DVD, with this style. But for now. Awesome! (The onlyest i miss at the stock music player: no shuffle)
