I posted this in the carjoying thread, but I will cross-post here since others may have this issue.

I have a problem with the random loss of volume control using my volume knob on my JY-UQ124 unit. It is seemingly random, but sometimes comes back after a unit reboot.

I am also experiencing an even bigger issue. Overall volume control stops working at random also. My unit is forgetting my SWC presets. Seemingly random, once again. If I go back and reset the SWC settings and re-map them, everything is fine again. This happened twice this morning within a 2 hour period.

I am on the latest malaysk ROM for 1024x600 RK3188. Not sure if this is a ROM issue or unit issue.

I was losing volume control randomly (the turn knob had no effect) i had to reboot to gain volume control back, i have fixed this by updating my MCU, i was on KLD V2.30 once i updated to KLD V.2.40 my volume control has never disappeared, i hope this helps!

Well, I think lsd stands for List Sub-Directories (recursively).
I have so many times explained its syntax. Perhaps searching the thread for the lsd string would help with finding all existing examples.
But it's up to you to tell where - full directory path - an app stores its data on the internal storage.
This is as far I could go. Tell me your internal path and I can suggest a correct lsd line that you could plant in script /etc/install-recovery.sh with the PCV... app.

I can't for the life of me find out where to edit the screensaver. The op suggests settings/screen, but that subsection does not exist. Anyone know where to change the screensaver or turn it off?. I can't stand the international date format.

I think you're trying to help but I know how the shutdown/standby works. For some reason in the latest MCU for the RM2.22 the only setting that stays active is the 30 seconds. Thus you turn the car off and it does a complete shutdown after 30 seconds. Everything is wired correctly. I just thought there might be some type of workaround that I wasn't aware of that might bypass the MCU and let you keep your stereo in sleepmode for an hour or so.

No worries, some guy on this thread was having a similar problem. And it turned out to be the OEM adapter was wired wrong and he didn't have constant power.

I installed HERE from the play store and registered. Everything runs fine in online mode. But if I try to download a map it loads until 10% and then stops. Memory is big enough. Online access is ok. Does anyone know a solution?

That's more of your connection then anything else..
I downloaded ages ago and use it..
Even did it before I flashed the Rooted ROM and did it again.. No problems..
Even if its a % it will start up back at that % if interrupted.. So its a server problem more likely.

Sasha, I use HERE offline... Works a treat here for Australia... And you will find if you read a little that it has been sold to the Germans for a princely sum over 2 billion dallors...now I would call that a pretty serious app..

I use HERE too as Backup for TomTom which causes sometimes problems. Except the white Settings Page, here works fine out of the box. On and Offline. Maybe its a Bug in the software. Try to use an older Version maybe?

I've got a problem with Music app. Here's the situation:
- NAVI button mapped to open Waze app
- Press Navi button, Waze opens. Plan a route, start moving
- Press Menu button, launcher shows
- Start Music app from icon, music starts playing
- Press Navi button, Waze comes to foreground, music keeps playing in background (so far so good until now)
- Press Navi button again, whole device locks up and bootanimation loops forever (only reset button helps).
This whole thing happens only when Music (MTCMusic) app runs in background. With radio or any other sound playing app in background I can press Navi button to send back or bring forward Waze as many times as I want, only MTCMusic crashes the entire HU when it wants to come forward.
I tried various MTCMusik.apk versions, from @sabruri1 and also stock, all the same. Using Malaysk's latest ROM.

Any ideas?

I might be way off but I seem to recall that for other MCUs the configurable sleep delay wasn't introduced until 2.4x (April or May of this year, I think). It could very well be different for RM though but my thought is that your MCU is simply too old.

What's the date of your MCU?

The System> screen setting is missing

How can I disable the "DayDream/Screensaver"?

All due respect, my friend... I have been using HERE, Tom Tom, Igo, Waze, Navigon, and even the "good old" Google Maps (and a few who's names I already forgot), but I would not trade the Russian Navitel for all of them put together.. Most likely it wouldn't do any good in Australia, not even convinced they make maps for Australia, but here in Europe I wouldn't trade it for anything.

PS... would you believe Igo, on HERE maps, got me lost in the very country it is made, Hungary?

or, if you think that the big folder is /mnt/internal_sd/Android/data/deezer.android.app/files, then use:

lsd /mnt/internal_sd/Android/data/deezer.android.app "files" /mnt/external_sd*/deezer.android.app/files/

Uninstall your app, create an empty folder called /mnt/external_sd2/deezer.android.app/foobar or, for the second case, /mnt/external_sd2/deezer.android.app/files/foobar, then edit the lsd line into script /etc/install-recovery.sh with the PCV... app, reboot, and reinstall your app.
The first lsd version covers all cases, but the second one, if correct, is preferable.
Note that there is an asterisk in the external_sd* name, to let you use either external SD cards (GPS or SD), but if only for the SD card, use external_sd2 exactly.

I will try it tonight. Hope this helps and can I do this method for all other apps?

You misunderstand me. The issue is not Waze or iGO related, its MTCMusic related. If I use JetAudio instead of MTCMusic, the HU will not crash.

Since my newborn hardly lets us breathe, I still didn't get to installing Malaysk's Rom, though I would have liked to do it. But didn't I see somewhere here a discussion about that Rom allowing you to use any player as default? So isn't it the easiest way out to use Poweramp or JetAudio as default? Their sound quality is much better anyway than MTCMusic's.... Dunno, just asking...

How do you mean "as default"? You can start from the launcher any player you want. Also, there's an Xposed MTC module allowing to select various default apps for movie and music, but on my HU I didn't see any difference.

Support for "sleep" began around MCU version 2.55.

@Malaysk Can you tell me what is the meaning of the checkboxes in the factory settings.
After the update to MCU 2.72 there came a few new ones but i don´t understand there function?
