If you are rooted ( you said you are using a rooted rom) then install xposed framework (pick a stable version) then install xposed MTC. Follow instructions and you are going to find the module in your apps. There you can set which player you want as default and of course which sources you want to show up when you press the menu button.

At second 0:28 he starts the car - and the music starts INSTANTLY.
How is that possible? I though that the 25-30 seconds of salience while booting is a hard fact for pure android devices...
Note that this is a complete cold boot (you can also see that it takes ~30 seconds), not waking up from sleep.
Maybe it's only possible with the Radio (and not music/dvd etc') because the radio is control by the MCU?
But AFAIK this boot time delay was "suppose" to be a problem with the radio as well....

That's an interesting hack, but yes, I can't imagine that working for anything other than radio, cd / dvd or backup camera. Actually, it would be really nice if the backup camera could be available before boot.
I actually saw another video yesterday of a device that indeed showed the backup camera before android loaded, just after starting the car.
But playing music (even just radio) is something I never thought possible... Anyone here can confirm/deny that it's working for him as well? It doesn't look like he hacked anything, this is probably the original MCU/ROM/software..

Just below the title, the guy lists the unit he is talking about and the forum for it on XDA WITH A LINK !! That unit is an AN21-U, TOTALLY unrelated to these units, the link takes you to the AN21-U thread !!
There is NO mention of Rockchip ANYWHERE, the specs CLEARLY states its Android 4.1 (the units on this thread are at least 4.2), it CLEARLY states his unit has an MSTAR 1.2 GHz processor, you are totally in the wrong thread and I cant understand how you could make such a mistake when a link to the actual thread is just under the video you are posting about AND he clearly writes the name of the unit he is referring to AND the specs !!!

I reinstalled Google Services FW in /system/priv-app which did not help.

Now I have a problem, that the playstore won't start. It keeps me asking to select my Google account. I also cannot stetup a new account stating Google Servers currently not available although I have WIFI Internet access.
Does anyone have an idea, what might be the problem?

Hi friends. I saw that the program MTCControlSettings.apk front page helps me to change the language of my on-board computer. The language included in the application are only English and Chinese...it can also enter the Italian language in the application? Thanks

Not that I m stressed, more amused that youd totally ignored the name of the device, its specs AND the link to its thread (THREE things that say its not one of these units !!). Nowt "disgusting" about my attitude - a few exclamation marks, some capital letters and dumbfoundedness that youd ignored the links to the actual device, basically pointing out the obvious, do not equal a "disgusting attitude".
When I opened the link it was already on "show more", so I guess I can see how you made that mistake now, although personally I always click on "show more" maybe that was why it was open already.
Anyway, the radio on these units normally plays within 30 secs, so whats the problem that ?

That app is on all units, but it is only activated on some CAN Bus settings, does it appear in your apps when you are on the right setting for your car or have you installed it yourself ?

Try downloading the latest google playstore apk. (Latest is 5.3.6 at this moment). I had the same problem with the store and I fix it that way.
Right, its already on your unit (I think coudu and /or Malaysk removed it from their ROMs at some point, but pretty sure they put it back on later versions, what ROM are you on now?), it only appears on certain CAN Bus settings, for cars that have full CAN Bus support and there are also similar apps that appear depending on settings - there is a BMW one for instance for BMW CAN Bus settings .
If it does not appear when you set CAN Bus settings to the correct setting for your vehicle, it may not work properly. Does it work properly ? What info can you see ?
Did you try re connecting your original head unit and changing the language with that ?
Actually, I just did some testing, and i think my unit will show the backup camera before boot. I have reverse hooked up, but not the camera yet, the screen blanks when i put it in reverse before boot. I have an eonon g2110z. Kld with mcu 2.40

I guess thats not supported if you cant get it to work.
There has been some debate over what the CAN Bus box does, but I think it simply extracts analogue signals from the CAN Bus system, it doesnt actually do the comms with the CAN Bus, the head unit does that.
Personally I ve never understood the latest trend for car manufacturers to replicate HVAC and heated seat controls on head units - whats the point when the actual controls are just underneath it ? Although I realise my opinion on it is no help if you want that it to work on your head unit.
