You may also get in touch with [email protected], from Klyde, they are the initial card sellers. Beware, there might be an issue with 1024x600 screens, the upgrade works 100% with 800x480 screens (oddly enough).
But firstly solve the touch screen issue, it looks like a a hardware problem (have you reconnected properly all cables?)

What issues do you know of that the 1024x600 res units have with the quad core upgrade? I'm curious because I asked my seller to upgrade my unit before they shipped for an extra $20 and they didn't say anything about incompatibility but then again my unit also had problems with random shut downs. Just curious.

I have issues with radio and SWC. I am on malaysk rk3188 latest rom with mcu KGL4 2.53. Not able to change the radio presets with steering controls. Rather when i press next it jumps to the next band. Any idea how this can be fixed?

So, you power two fans out of the ignition wire; if it comes from a CAN bus adapter, it may not handle the current?
The unit has a dedicated +5V fan connector (in the back (edge) of the motherboard). See if you could replace the main fan with a +5V one.

Hello guys,

From my previous post, my radio app had just stopped working (no reception or sound from the radio app).
I tried resetting and even opened the head unit to make sure nothing was loose. I had asked for some help on the forum, and in the mean time I also sent a message to the seller. This was about two weeks ago. Since then, the radio app just started working again. Like if nothing was ever wrong, and has been working since. Keep in mind that my unit is stock firmware/mcu. I have not done any modifications other than adding cooling fans. It is mind boggling to me. Also since then, the seller sent me the latest MCU.img. I have not updated it to my head unit yet. I looked in the file repository and the latest MCU I see for the KLD is v2.67. The version I was sent is MTCB-KLD2-V2.75 08/25/2015 (per the file name). If you would like, please let me know how to share it to the Gdrive repository. In this way I can share it if it is not already available, and contribute to the forum.
This is for a KLD universal model RK3188 / 800x480 resolution.

However, during this time my wifi started acting up. I see the wifi icon/bars and the unit says its connected, but I get no where when I try to browse or surf google play, youtube, etc. Any suggections??? My head unit MCU is still at MTCB-KLD2-V2.67 07/09/2015.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah... is there any updated/modified version of the ipod app, with improved functionality. Just curious.

Is there anyways that anyone knows to map a steering wheel button to Android Voice Search function? Even if it's manually editing a file. Don't see any voice control in the Settings > Steering Wheel Keys menu

Workaround, go to google settings and enable "ok google" on any screen setting. That way you can just say the command and you have voice search function,

I bought a 128GB microsd card. Copy music onto it, checked in phone and everything is fine. Put it in head unit and either get damaged device or nothing on sdcard, put it back in pc and it's either empty or most of the data missing.

Formatted FAT32...

If you are losing data it might be a fake sd card. Test with H2testw.

Alright so after some testing I was able to find a way to get into the recovery for the HotAudio 2100 unit.

1. Take off the top of the HU.
2. Look for the little C17 connector in the upper middle of the board.
3. With metal tweezers short circuit the connector until it restarts completely then let go.
4. Once in recovery, to move down the list make a quick short circuit on the C17 connector. To select, short circuit it for about 2-3 seconds. **Not too long or you'll restart the HU**

Using this method I installed the latest ROM from Malaysk and fixed my HU!

the freedompop u600 will work for you using pppwidget. after pc activation, plug it in, use skip pin option and set profile with no apn user or pw. i worked with the dev for weeks and we got it a few days ago.
car now has its own internet at startup 3.99 a month

3.99 a month for internet in my car's Android? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY :laugh:
But that 3.99 only gives you 500MB of data. I would waste that in less than a week with a few apps and some videos on YouTube.

No tutorial that I'm aware of, but the first post of that thread has all the info you would need to get started. @GermainZ even put together a nice review and comparison with/against Xposed.

If you already have some java code that you know addresses the issue(s), I can try creating a patched radio apk for you.

Try to format it on the HU?!
See if the busybox mkfs.vfat command exists (use the latest free busybox app?)
For sure, some command called make_ext4fs does exist, but the resulting file system would not be very helpful.

Another trick: try to format the entire device, without sub-partitions (e.g. /dev/sdb, not /dev/sdb1). It's busybox mkfs.vfat -I <device name - choose carefully!>

I'll give that a try - problem is - I'll have to put it back in the PC to copy the music. It's about 80GB

I have a Joying 16gb quadcore 1024 x 600 and I have no issues with the Malaysk ROMs, the only issue I have had is with the modded MTC Bluetooth APK not working, modded radio and music are not a problem. If you want to add the bluetooth just save a copy of the original somewhere so that you can revert back if you have any issues.

Hello everyone
I update my eonon GA5151 (KLD RK3066) from 4.2 to the last Malaysk 4.4.4 of August 23, the mcu is KLD v.2.64 with sleep and redesigned sound processor from darkleo.
For internet i have Huawei - K5150 - Dongle, after update, there's no internet connection.
I tried to register for APN manually, but when saved, does not save data and are blank.

any ideas?

I've try to follow the instructions in GremainZ's post, but he makes reference to a deprecated version...anyway, when I try to ricompile app (after changing the source java and adding tags), I get errors...if I try to recompile the source code without modifying get the same errors.
I don't understand how to use the new version of the tool. I downloaded the samples and tools, but I do not know how to decompile and recompile an apk with them.
I repeat: with old version I know how to compile and decompile, but I get errors!

You need +12V to the HU reverse camera signal entry, when in reverse (beside the video signal). I took mine from a reverse lamp (which powers the camera, too). You may find it elsewhere, closer.

I have an older MTCService app version, you may want to check it out (doubtful it would make any difference), that I still use currently with Poweramp

Thanks, I'm still fiddling around with mtc service see what's causing it suddenly stop after working so well. Just to be clear the auto speed adjust volume still works. So I assume the service is still working.

In regards to the reverse camera. I doubt that I wired it incorrectly as I used the Acc wire and grounded it to the GND wire to power the receiver. It powers on and displays the camera when android hasn't booted. But when I get to the homescreen and try reverse again I get "no signal".

I haven't ditched the wireless module in favour of the 6m RCA wire but as soon as I get the chance I'll run it. I'll update in case someone else has similar issues.

Btw dsa, are you running wireless or wired?
