broke my old sm-g9oop doing some home repair. (learned alot though..
). Got a new sm-g900p with software version--G900PVPS3CQD1
Hardware version-- G900P.04
android version-- 6.0.1
security patch lvl-- April 1, 2017.
And of course I am rooted. I put the sim card from my old sm-g9oop into my new sm-g900p, stayed with the same carrier, Sprint, and am getting an invalid sim card message. I was told by the Sprint operator that the old sim cards are not compatible anymore with the newer sm-g900p's but he did not sound 100% sure. The phone is activated and operating but would like to get LTE, which is enabled from what I can see. I can access all the hidden menus, but am not quite sure what to mess with. I know just enough to be dangerous, lets put it that way. I have backups in case i screw something up. Was on RR remix for a bit since i had that on my old phone but couldn't figure out how to get access to those hidden menus so i went back to the stock ROM and rooted it. Is my sim already unlocked? why can't i connect to LTE? If this has already been discussed somewhere else then I am sorry for the redundancy. I've been trying to find something matching my exact scenario for a week now and decided to finally just start a new thread.
