Find a Rom you want and put it in your sd card. Phone not external sd

Volume up + volume down + power. Hold all 3 till device boots then let go.

Backup first. Then wipe data/ factory reset
Install zip from sd
First boot after flashing may take a few min just an fyi

I am on a Mac and am installing the DMG file prior to rooting. The install starts fine but during the install it says "The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/heimdall.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update."

Any idea why this would be?

I am on 10.7 Lion if that makes any difference.

I just tried fixing disk permissions on the hard drive and that didn't help either. Any one have any idea why I am getting this error?

Bump. I'm getting the same error and I'm on 10.6.8. I also tried reinstalling and still getting the error. I went on and tried to do the root, and it would say "ERROR: Claiming interface failed!" I'm guessing it has something to do with the installation process.

I'm able to flash this fine but when I go into cwm and choose any option, then hit the power button to select it, I get a blank screen with the clockworkmod logo in the background.

I googled around and found other people with the same issue but they are using phones with a trackball. Is there some small step I'm missing?

A little searching some threads would get you the answer. Ill be nice and tell you, with the gs2 when in cwm you dont use the power button to choose things, you use the home button.

I used heimdall on my Mac with Lion 10.7.2 what I did was downloaded the command line version and just ran the command manually.

First put phone in download mode...then....

1. Put zimage in the heimdall contents folder.
2. Open terminal and type "cd" then hit the space bar
3. Drag the heimdall contents folder into the terminal window and hit enter.
4. Type "heimdall flash --kernel zImage"
5. You'll see the progress in the terminal window. It will only take a few seconds to flash and the phone will reboot.

Can you tell us if the counter issue is fixed in this? After I flashed this the first time I see it has a 1 in parenthesis by the YES.... so like this

CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (1 count)

Does this mean that the counter issues are not fixed?

What did you do to fix this? I have the same problem (CWM does nothing when you press a button).

ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.3 uses home to select and back to go back. This has been confusing to people who are used to using the power button. Version 5.0.2.7 keeps the home and back button, but also again uses the power button to select. Hope this helps.
