Just a bit of news:

Huawei teams up with Omate over Kids tracker watch

https://www.intomobile.com/2014/05/14/huawei-teams-up-omate-over-kids-tracker-watch/

This is very important news, because means a few things
- Omate isn't dead
- They do want to grow, meaning
- they will probably try to make the TS better to regain customer confidence

Or...
- they're just focussing on chinese market now, where you can (could?) get away with much more in terms of selling crap and not giving support.

I invite everyone to share their opinions on this...

If we now how is Huawei treated in many countries it's obvious that Omate want to stay in China...

If you ask me - I don't need them even near Europe...

Unfortunately, Omate's only customers, present and future , are US...We are the early adopters.... And we have all been seriously mislead....sold an unsupported, unwarranted, broken, and unfixable (and no promise to fix or allow others attempt a fix) device that leaks like a sieve.

IMHO
My advice to the Omate team... fire up the resumes.... And LLP, close your accounts, color your hair, get plastic surgery, and get a job at Sears selling appliances. Oh, and start wearing a glove on that left hand too....no room for error on this one.

LET'S TAKE A FRIENDLY POLL:

To all Omate backers and owners

If Omate releases a TS2, regardless of claimed specs, promises and functionality....would you give them another chance?

Hehe...never.
I simply don't trust them...
If someone offers me money return and opportunity to send my watch back - I would gladly to that.

Well you could put it on eBay. When I look at the (sparse) communication, it doesn't seem like they gave up. What if they really were just busy with manufacturing and shipping and they'll focus on customer service and software improvement when it's done? I mean, everyone knows LLP right now. If he ever wants any kind of job other than becoming a Chinese rice farmer, he'll have to step up.

Not saying I trust that they will try to make it right, just that I haven't lost all hope.
