Yeah, my bad. I've got the phone set up to become a wifi hotspot. It tends to suck the battery down, so the giant brick attached to the back of it helps keep the phone going.

Everything would be much smoother if bluetooth tethering would just work, but the watch stays fairly up to date with the phone firing up the hotspot one minute out of every ten and continuously while I'm in the car. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the two together best while minimizing use of my data plan, so am taking suggestions.

re: above

Wifi tethering to share your phone's data connection with the TS is incredibly battery intensive on your phone. I use BT tethering to share my phone's data connection with my tablet at work all the time, 8 hours later my phone still has 50%-60% battery left. Whereas wifi tether will not make it through 8 hours. Wifi tethering is not a "long term" solution imo.

I've never owned or tried Sony's smartwatch nor the Gear...how does it work with those? I think I've read that you can run apps on those too and make calls (at least from Sony's) as long as it's tethered to your phone.

I can't believe I'm the only one who's gotten BT tethering working. It's not perfect, but it works.

Stand by for new topic sometime today.

I should note that it's not native tethering. I'm using your last archived update. It's 2/21, maybe?
EU 2100 fixed sensors? Yeah you are going to need to go over what you have done int detail in a new thread. I haven'y had time to even look at the tether issue in detail and a possible fix you be gold for a lot of folks.

Have to agree.

I don't know what to tell you. I have working HSPA+ on two completely different carriers on two different TS's

As far as nobody getting their TS. The only people really posting are those with issues or are still waiting. The number of Patch DL's would indicate that a number of people have received their TS. Either that, or it's a couple people constantly downloading the same file over and over.

But oh well. My Gear probably has less use time than your TS at this point as glorified BT remotes are kinda stupid in my opinion.
I got two TS first of Feb. Immediately used your patch and root. Did not install rom. Have all google services, full data, been working flawlessly. Not sure what all of the hoopla is about. Maybe I am using mine instead of trying to change it. Bought two to have a backup but so far have only kept 2nd one charged and rooted. Thanks for your dev work Lokfish:good:
