This is serious. An attempt to destroy our Note 7s has begun with T-mobile being the first for pushing out an update to cap the battery @ 60%!!
http://www.phonearena.com/news/T-Mo...te-7-that-limits-battery-charge-to-60_id87447

With some research on these forums I have found the link for correct 6.3 OTA package disabler son (6.4 removes OTA disabler)

I typed in "update" in the app and disabled what is shown in the screenshot. If anybody can add to what I have done or let me know if I have missed anything please let me know.

Hunker down and stay safe from the update! See you on the other side

I'm on T-mobile as well. It's fun while it lasted. Then again, grab yourself a quick charge battery pack. Shoot, in 30 minutes you'll be up to 50%. ;)

The quick charge does not work the same or as fast after the first update. Sometimes I've noticed it charge at different speeds. Seems kind of random. I'm pretty sure the quick charge was either disabled or reduced though.

Oh that sucks. Mine works fine so far. I've checked my quick charge battery pack vs. charger itself it works pretty much same speed. I've even test it with my voltage meter.

Check the screen shot from the battery pack.

Fast charge only works with "Fast Charge" power adapters. Not with battery packs. Its mean to increase your voltage to 12V from the usual 3.7-5V This technology its only exclusive to some Samsung chargers. Look on the side to see if its got the "Fast Charger" logo and legend.

You are correct. However, Did you do noticed that some battery packs comes with qualcomm certified fast charge 3.0/2.0 ?

What battery pack is that in the image?

I'm on Verizon, no such update yet.

You could at least take the time to read the post 2 up from yours to get your answer.

What is it lately? people dont want to even bother reading even a few posts up to see if their s question is already answered.

well, I did read the prior post, sir. It was talking about rooting the device, however, I have a model that can NOT be rooted, so I was asking the other gentleman to see if he used a diff approach. No need to be a douche :good:

You didnt read enough on the other thread

So on post 14 of this thread there is a link to another thread.

On that thread read post 405. He managed to get back 100% charge just please take not that he has an exynos model so you will need the proper files for your model - very important!

The guy in post 15 here has a verizon model and confirmed that for snapdragons that method works

There is no mention of root...i have no idea what your reading?

And This "douche" is trying to help You so watch the mouth. And if you didnt know using derogatory names is not allowed here.

My apologies, didn't think you would be so sensitive as I was only joking. The user on post 405 has an Exynos model and pushed an AP file via Odin, which I also tried and was previosuly semi-bricked. The gentleman a few posts ago said he had success and has my exact model, which is why I directed my question to him. I appreciate your concern and efforts though.
