That's voltage/amp meter.

Shoot, still no updates yet? Try installing the Packages disabler pro ASAP b4 u get the updates to 60%. ;)
Bought the Package disabler pro, installed and followed a few lists of what to disable. Rebooted, but the prompt to update is still there. This may be a lost cause, less I can root and completely start over.

This is serious. An attempt to destroy our Note 7s has begun with T-mobile being the first for pushing out an update to cap the battery @ 60%!!
http://www.phonearena.com/news/T-Mo...te-7-that-limits-battery-charge-to-60_id87447

With some research on these forums I have found the link for correct 6.3 OTA package disabler son (6.4 removes OTA disabler)
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=e344c7f7f1fe86c3&id=E344C7F7F1FE86C3!1924&authkey=!AIfDkz0V-XIn4XE

I typed in "update" in the app and disabled what is shown in the screenshot. If anybody can add to what I have done or let me know if I have missed anything please let me know.

Hunker down and stay safe from the update! See you on the other side
This appeared to have worked, for the time being. I've been working on disabling this update since 7 am. (its now 10 pm)

Verizon or Samsung is pushing out this update for the USA - I Think. I say that because I have an "Update Ready to install" nagg message that is in the pull down or notification area. I have no intention of installing this. I even went as far as to think that if I booted into recovery and wipe the cache (due to an issue with an EZ Package disabler app I bought that I was having issues activating). As soon as I booting into the recovery mode, the damn thing started the upgrade automatically! In my haste to stop it from doing so I soft bricked my phone. (dead android with the exclamation mark above him). I managed to somehow restore it and boot back normally. I installed the application above and made the changes indicated. AS soon as I checked the extra boxes above...BAM!! the nagg screen went away. I rebooted, and its still gone. I'm not 100% sure if it's the combination of both apps I have running as all I checked were the boxes in the original thread. I happen to have installed the other cheaper version of this same app and done a bunch of de-bloating and other stuff to try and remove this update.

How long this will last I don't know, but I still have the green battery icon and just charged to 100%. I only hope that I didn't just bypass the nagg message and my phone will still update on it's own....

So anyways in case it matters to anyone, I have uploaded a screenshot of what I have disabled to make the message disappear. There is a lot of bloatware as well, but so far its working.

Okay, this worked for me, so I'm paying it forward because you guys have been tremendously amazing!!
SO, like many people with the PHE Verizon Note 7 , I received the 60% update and unknowingly installed it. Was very unhappy and tried to root my device not knowing that it would semi-brick it. Used the verizon software assistant to repair it and it erased and restored my device back to the point where it prompted me to install the update again. Downloaded package disabler pro apk version 6.3 and turned off auto update in the play store. MANUALLY entered in two file names which I will post below this and.. VOILA!!!! NO MORE UPDATE MESSAGE... EVER!!! This works only for VZW Note 7 as far as I know.

I disabled these two: com.samsung.sdm and com.sec.android.soagent since we are talking about Verizon here. They do vary by carrier.

First one gets rid of the message icon in the notification bar. Second one I guess stops it from coming back. Hope this helps someone!!

Now, how can we find and delete the downloaded package, maybe it's a one time push from either VZ or Samsung and if the file is gone, update will fail, should it try to reinstall...

Disabling just those two stopped the update and nagg message to update?

I find it VERY interesting that when you restored from the softbrick, that it restored you to a previous state. I suppose its similar to resetting your PC from a restore partition. As much as I want to do this, and get to a clean state before the update was downloaded, and block it from every being on my phone, my fear is that the apps we are using are being systematically taken down or crippled from Google Play. We may not be able to reinstall or activate them. I've been active on the Note7 Rebels forum for a few days, and this appears to be the case.

I fear rooting and flashing a clean ROM (Samsung or Custom) may be the only option we have left. This is WAY above my pay grade, My head spins with all the different methods and steps. (actual steps not the basic 4-6 line steps most developers show) :cowboy:

All is lost if they DO flag our phones and block our service. This would put is into a position do have to look into some blatantly illegal trickery.. :silly:

At what point will Samsung or the carriers decide they have done all they can and stop the efforts to part us from our phone? Will any one be left on our side?

Yeah I found it interesting as well that it reinstalled back to the point right before they sent the firmware update. As for app crippling, I haven't experienced anything like that as of yet, and I had to reinstall EVERYTHING after the repair. I've read about ppl saying that they called Customer service and we're were informed that the IMEIs would be blocked from the network. That would really suck!!!! I pray that this isn't the case

Got that too, just in case...

Oh, and yes. Disabling those two specific files will get rid of the message and stop it from being pushed to your phone. You'll need package disabler 6.3, then you'll need to manually add and disable the two files. Google package disabled pro 6.3 apk

This no longer works because Package Disabler 6.3 does not pass the initial, over the air activation.
Note 7 users looking to escape this update at this time are out of luck!
