we don´t have it too on tab 2 :p ... but without this workaround it will enable hardware-keyboard and you´ll have to disable it in settings.

you tryed my omni 4.3.1 right ? was the keyboard working from the beginning? or do you had to disable hardware-keyboard in settings?

edit:
Forget it :p this problem starts with OmniRom android-4.4 :p it is only a problem in Omni, not in CM :p

edit 2:
i´ll run this build from my repo and let´s see if it works ;)

But we don't have hardware keyboard:

Not sure, I skip the initial setup wizard for a different reason and my soft keyboard always work after then.
It's kind of a weird issue, I think at boot it thinks there is a hardware keyboard because the way the keyboard dock driver works is possibly retarded. I haven't actually figured out whether the problem is the keyboard driver or Android's InputManagerService not handling the keyboard dock driver correctly, but either way it's because of that. That's why you should be able to just remove sec_keyboard from the defconfig and it should also fix this issue. I'm not even sure if your tablet actually fits into the keyboard dock, it might have just been copied from a different tablet's defconfig unnecessarily.

@ketut.kumajaya back home now and syncing my Omni Source :) ... but repo sync damn slow today :(
I´ll run for P31XX and P51XX tonight, for Tab 3 8.0 tomorrow ;)
i´ll take a look on your android-4.4 repo before building and merge all your changes to my repo too ;) all builds should be up on 31th Dezember / 1st January if everything goes well :)

Edit: @ketut.kumajaya please add those commits to your android-4.4 repo:

I could not run the build for P31XX if there ist no flag for TWRP in BoardConfig.mk (i moved all to BoardConfigCommon.mk before like you did for Tab 3 :p ) ...

Edit 2:
P3100 and P3110 Builds done :) Running great on my P3110 :) I love it :) Only Dual-Boot can make it much better :) :D

I´ll run Tab 3 builds after sleep.
I have a own folder with the whole Omni Source for Tab 3 ;)

You´ll find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47342530&postcount=2

Can someone please test TWRP for me? I´ll place the recovery.img inside the Rom-Folder (use link in OP for Download)
Please go into "Advanced" --> "Copy Log to SD" and please PM me the log or opload e.g. at www.pastebin.com (you´ll find it at /data/media/0/recovery.log)
Resolution right / Touch working fine and on right place?

Can someone test if latest NEXT Kernel works too?

Hi!

Tried to install 4.4.2 Omni ROM as second ROM within Dual Boot. I used the latest Philz, Black Hawk Next Kernel 0.6 but Error 7, Installation aborted. And I became the hint E.couldn't unmount.....
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hi Andy.

I use a Tab 3 8.0 only WiFi. Would it make sense to try Omni 4.3.1 instead of 4.4.2?
One question: I flashed Philz latest File without "Selinux" in its name. Was that right? Didn't know the difference to be honest.
Thanks for providing Omni:thumbup:

Run smoothly @Android-Andi :good: This android-4.4 branch much better than the older 4.3 version but:
1. The boot animation looks unprofessional :(
2. My exFAT formatted SD card not mounted, even with exFAT kernel modules loaded
3. Button backlight not handled correctly. To disabled it completly, edit /system/etc/init.d/80cfw and add:
Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/sec/sec_touchkey/brightness
chmod 400 /sys/class/sec/sec_touchkey/brightness
4. Live wallpaper slow down home screen navigation

Good work mate :good:

First of all thank you. Installation was very simple when choosing the right recovery
Omni 4.4.2 is very smooth and fast. I really like it:thumbup:
No problem with my Fat32 formatted SO Card. Front Cam still doesn't work. Freezes when takin a photo and doesn't store it.
Don't know what Screenshots you mean in detail. Hope those ones are right? THIS ROM also works very good within dual boot. I'm very happy. It will take days till I discovered all settings:p
By the way. Is there any way to change the ugly ASAP Grey in settings?
Thanks again for your hard work, Andi:)
