Try data wipe and see if proximity sensor comes up after call.
IMAO its probably an app or active display which is leading to continuously on proximity sensor.

thx, just tried a full wipe but no difference. When the orientation is locked, the proximity sensor still lights up forever after a call and the phone stays awake all the tjme.

Hm. Thanks for reporting that.

Everyone having proximity sensor always on issues, turn on auto rotation and reboot. After that your sensor will behave normally.
If you don't want your phone to auto rotate, change rotation modes in settings -> display -> rotation

Dear UtkarshGupta,
I just would like to give you a feedback about sensors. I use SmartScreen On and since sensors start to have problems it doesn't works properly anymore. I mean, when the device boots it works in the very beginning but after a while it stops to work, like sleeping, and don't come back again. I tried to enable rotation and reboot, however same problem again, it works initially but sleeps later and can't wake again.

FYI I'm using that fix you provided:

Sensor/batterydrain fix: http://goo.gl/GNxzwz
Paste the file in /system/lib/hw, replacing the one already there, with permissions: rw- r-- r--
This fix will be included in march 1 nightly and on.

For now it works like a charm. Battery drains a little bit faster but at least sensors work properly.

I had made some additional code formatting changes after I uploaded that file. Those changes were merged that is why file sizes are different.

Thanks UtkarshGupta, I was just wondering why SmartScreen On is not working with the modified patch and the non modified patch works. Any ideia?

ROM: http://goo.gl/f6sTR9
MD5: http://goo.gl/hBXw6K
Audio fix: http://goo.gl/B3qCIn

Changes over March 5 Nightly:
- Multiwindow
- White kitkat theme
- Updated audio hal
- Increased boot speed
- Call/SMS blacklist
- Lockscreen blur enhancements - Allow controlling intensity
- Lockscreen Notifications from AOSPAL - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i12WuauSkI

I want you guys to test and tell me if you have any problems with anything mentioned above specially audio.
Don't report/suggest anything related to multiwindow, you may share your experience.

To launch app in multiwindow -
1) Open first app
2) Press home
3) Open second app
4) Open recent apps (default - hold home button)
5) Click and hold the preview of first app
6) Select add to split view

To come out of multiwindow -
1) Open recent apps
2) Select the app you wanna launch
3) You'll have to do it for both apps or it would look bugged

P.S. Don't disable lockscreen notifications! If you do so, you'll have constant systemui FCS which can only be solved by deleting /data/data/com.android.provider.settings
After deleting it you'll lose all your settings

P.S. The white theme will not be merged into nightlies. Please don't request about it.

I just flashed the sensor fix on the first page and the proximity sensor problem seems to be fixed and the phone can now sleep properly. Thanks!!!

Welcome.
Could either of you test something for me ?
Try the new recovery (link in op)
It is of Verizon model. Could you guys tell me if it works without any issues (normal usage not updates)
Do note that if it doesn't boot, you'll have to flash a correct version through Odin or mobile Odin or some twrp installer.

Going to try on t0lte. Will reply with results.

Edit: flashed tar with mobile odin 4. It mounts f2fs partitions fine, and I was able to format /cache to f2fs. So good to be back on twrp. On n7105 international /t0lte.
