Although this is a great feature on my g3, i've had it for ages on my windows lumia phones. So, not new to me. Glad everyone else is enjoying it though.

It's only been a week since i had mine, and whenever i tried using the Note 3 and M7 i kept knocking and trying to press the power button on the back which doesn't exist.

Is there anywhere to knock other than the top of the screen to turn it off? Sometimes it's a pain to reach all the way up there.

Edit: disregard, just hadn't played with it enough. Can double tap on open home screen space and accomplish it just the same.

This is why other manufacturers are ripping the feature off, it's just so intuitive.

I ended up buying a G Pad 8.3 because I kept knocking on my Tegra Note trying to wake it up. Then I grabbed my mother's Galaxy S3 and started knocking on that. :cyclops:

Funny thing...wasn't planning on getting the G3 cuz of the buttons on the back. I thought they looked ugly compare to my m8....now I find my self loving the buttons on the back n knock knock feature xD

I don't even use the buttons on the back of the phone anymore. It's always knock on or off and can turn the volume up on screen as well.

I personally love their back buttons though. Makes holding the phone better and just looks cool IMO. I was an early adaptor of the g2, then G Flex and now g3.

On the subject of knocking, I just recently decided to tighten security and use knock code. I must say, I am impressed! It's actually far more responsive than just using knock on. I found knock on to not work some times. But using knock code so far has almost flawless. I (think i) figured out that to get knock on to work every time I had to first touch the screen, then knock. Almost as if I was waking it up, then knocking to turn the screen on. Now I use a simple 3 knock combination and it seems to work better, with an added bonus of security

I have the g3. But wanted to mentioned that the Nokia n9 had the double tap to wake and sleep. It was awesome. The g2 and g3 is as close to it now. Knocking wise.

These days a LOT of them are coming up with double-tap-to-wake. It might be one of the greatest compliments around that pretty much everyone is ripping off LG's now-signature feature (well, one of their signature features).

You know you did something right when everyone else tries to steal it and copycat you after you did it.

I find myself knocking every mobile device I own expecting it to turn on. Coolest friggin' feature, I wish everything had it.
Same here. I keep tapping my Nexus 4 expecting it to wake up. Lol

G3 TweakBox lets you tap the navigation bar as well.
