onda v972 speakers fried by app
Hi,
I have an Onda v972 running 4.2.2 on firmware build v3.2_v2.
I downloaded an app called Boost Your Volume by Bresaconggul. WRONG MOVE.
When I ran the app to calibrate it, (a progressively loud screech and a phone ringing noise), my speakers started crackling.
I began to play a song, and the entire thing was distorted. Same thing happened when I played a movie (on various players) or a game.
Any audio file I open, or program with audio, is now distorted. The only way to get rid of the distortion is to turn the volume almost all the way off.
Volume through the ear buds is fine; no distortion and full volume there.
I downloaded an equalizer, and as long as I have 60hz and 23hz well below 0, there's no distortion, but the overall volume is still too low.
Are my external speakers permanently fried? If I reflash the OS, will the sound be restored?
Any suggestions? Please?
Thanks.
