One+ 5 Arrives tomorrow. What should I know? (Tmobile)

Hi everyone. Coming from an LG G3 that finally died on me.

My One+ 5 is arriving tomorrow. I have a simple TPU case for it. Got the 64gig version.

I plan to have it rooted. It looks like I can root and also take official updates. Is that correct?
I'm using Tmobile in the US. Anything I need to know in particular about that network or using the wifi calling? Reception is poor in my nieghborhood.

I plan to use it for web browsing, music in the car (via Aux), and casual gaming.

Anything else I need to know? Any essential mods, bloat to remove, etc?

You can root and have updates, but not OTA. You have to manually download the full zip from OP, and flash it in recovery. Then you have to reflash your root and everything.
