I recently just bought a T-Mobile HTC One S off my friend. It's unlocked and he's been using it fine on Rogers, but I'm using it with Wind here in Canada. Wind uses AWS (1700/2100) 3G frequencies so I know that the T-Mobile variant will work.
The thing is, ever since I've bought it, I've had a constantly recurring issue, the cellular signal. Right after the phone has booted or the SIM card inserted, the phone will get full bars, however around ten seconds later, signal will start dropping, down to 4 bars, then 3 bars, and finally just cuts out and says No Service. All this happens within around 20-30 seconds. I can get signal again by rebooting or removing and reinserting SIM card, however same problem will just repeat after ten seconds.
Everything else with the phone works perfectly fine. Does anyone know what's going on? I've tried so many different ROMs and radios, as well as editing build.prop for suggested T-Mobile settings. Help!
