Did you try this no-verity.zip?
Sometimes it works.
Test it without and with multi disabler.
After magisk.
The odm error is normal

No, you should try das no-verity.zip.
Link ist am Ende des Beitrages.
Das funzt bei manchen besser als das multi dissble oder auch gemeinsam.
Check it out!
Ansonsten ist deine Reihenfolge richtig

Can somebody link to a S9+ magisk rom for the 2nd beta, please?
I understand this is the S9 forum, but no one even mentions rooting the 2nd beta in the "official" place...

The s9+ .img boot link for the 1st beta worked with no problem a week or two ago.
It isn't that I can't get into the OS, or anything

But as someone said earlier, no PIN is able to be saved, and this is an issue.
Samsung Cloud doesn't work as well (no problem), but ... annoying.

I'll be waiting for a s9+ boot img, please.
Thanks!

This seems like a complete TWRP flashable .zip from Ambassadii

Thanks for the quick answers with links!
Really very much appreciated!

I just finished setting up a root version of the 1st beta, because ... need a working device after all.
And am busy the next few days, but will post with results from the links soon.

Thank you again!

How do I use the BL_G965FXXU7ZSKD .zip if I am on stock Beta 2 and want a working TWRP & root?
You must go back to Pie, flash TWRP, flash in TWRP the BL_G965FXXU7ZSKD, reboot into TWRP and flash the rom from Ambasadii for your S9+.
Than you have TWRP and a rooted rom.Thats the safe way.
Or you flash latest TWRP thro7gh Odin and flash theulti disable zip, reboot into TWRP and flash the rom from Ambasadii.

It seems that a flashable OneUi 2 rom from Ambasadii for the S9 variant will follow...

Did CSK1->Beta1->Beta2
Flashed TWRP 3.3.1 .tar by Odin
Booted in to TWRP
Flashed Multi-disabler from sdcard
Flashed Magisk-canary from sdcard
Rebooted
Then got stuck on Samsung boot screen with blinking blue light for over 15 minutes
Rebooted to TWRP
Flashed The Kernel from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81162717&postcount=41
Rebooted and it started after about 4 minutes

Setting Fingerprints does not work. It exits straight away when trying to set them.
If you set a pattern everything looks fine but after rebooting phone gets caught in a bootloop on the startscreen. There is no easy way to fix it and using no-verity even crashes the phone with a black screen.

So all in all this method is not recommended at the moment as only half the people in the thread report it working and everyone of them used some different way and order of flashing all the files to make it work…

PS: The OEM unlock trick by setting the date back and turning off auto-update was still working for me on Beta2 as i forgot to set OEM-unlock before flashing CSK1

Could someone make a beta3 patched kernel? Or post a tutorial on how to do it myself?
Install Beta 3, than flash TWRP, delete data, reboot into TWRP and write in the terminal from TWRP

dd if=/dev/block/platform/11120000.ufs/by-name/BOOT of=/sdcard/boot.img

After this you have the boot img on your internal storage. Install magisk apk and patch the img.
Now you can flash the patched boot.img through TWRP as img in boot section. Voila!
