Is the USERDATA file from the firmware really required? I am thinking of flashing the one UI 3.0 USC firmware ( SM-N975U) in SM-N975U1 and got USERDATA in the firmware i downloaded.

Yes u can most or all our bootloaders are locked.. I don't no if it effects otas. There a new update on sam mobile it's the Feb security patch..it's says it's for Verizon and comcast ..but I flashed it ...it working perfectly

Ok, thanks. So there is no problem or drawback flashing the 975U firmware on my 975U1? I wonder if I should just wait for the official OTA. Seems weird the carrier versions got the update before this U1 has.

Yeah it's been out since like 14th or 15th... I'm going to upgrade but I'm bootloader unlocked and rooted.. AT&T Note 10+ here.

will you loose root or the ability to root if you upgrade to Android11?
