What i do is : download full zip from oxygen updater, install update (no need to unroot), extract boot.img from the full update package, patch it with magisk, boot on it with fastboot and install root with magisk 😉
You don't need to extract the boot.img and patch it, just install magisk to the inactive slot before reboot.

I prefer to unroot to download only 1 gb from incremental instead 5 gb from the full zip.

There's another way to update via incremental but I didn't test it.

Just installed this update. Strange thing is it only took a second (literally 1 second tops and it was the full update) AND my device rebooted automatically, so I could not install magisk to inactive slot. I Also lost my TWRP.
Everything else seems like it's working fine, but I need to root with adb again and install modules again :(

    Now install means now reboot
Than the ota is installed in background
And when you make a lokal Update and you select the Update pack
Than you see "extracting " the phone flashed the images to the in aktive slot and after this you see "now install" what mean "now reboot to other slot""
Yeah, I reinstalled this update through local update and just figured it out :)
    Pointless change IMO.
