Feel free to chime in. Supposedly a Android 12 issue where you don't get system r/w. My Netflix works with the work around.
Drm value of oemlibrypto.so was moved to odm directory. And as far as I know magiskbcant mount it correctly as it's a non physical partition ex generated after boot. So no hope for hd Netflix as of now got rooted devices.
TBH, SD is fine on the phone. i hate watching netflix on my phone since the screen too small. watching on the phone is only temporary for me.
in theory, yes, but payload dumper depends on what rom you have. 9pro should also be also flashing unlock.Hey guys question I just bought the new 10pro that came out today. I've been Googling unlocking the bootloader. In the PowerShell/Terminal window we type "Fastboot Flashing Unlock" yes? It's not like in the 9pro where you type "fastboot OEM unlock". Rooting is the same use payload dumper to get the boot.img and so on. Thanks guys
the US version has traditionally been designated as the global version, except for this phone. i suspect the US and China are comparing **** sizes so they designated the EU version as global. Thanks for the guide! I have never rooted a phone before and I have some questions that hopefully somebody can clear up before I attempt.
My phone model is NE2215, but I suspect I am not using the Global ROM. I am in the US, phone is 256g/12g, purchased from OP. If I patch my stock boot, and do everything else listed correctly, it should still work right?
Also, I would like to use a custom ROM in the future. I know that there are none currently for OP10P, but do you think I would I be able to boot one like this guide describes when one is eventually released? Or will I likely have to go a different route?
I’m new to this, any help is appreciated!
Thank you for that info, I will remember that.the US version has traditionally been designated as the global version, except for this phone. i suspect the US and China are comparing **** sizes so they designated the EU version as global.
you can download the stock boot from one of my guides. you won't be able to extract yours without root.
unlikely there will be custom roms since there's no way to restore a bricked phone unless you lick OP toes or pay an extortionist website each time you need to unbrick.
Told you I’m a dumbass. I should have scoured before posting a reply, I would have cleared up my own misconception and not made my ignorance public. Disregard 2nd paragraph from top, I obviously was not aware the implications of us sharing a model #. I didn’t have to scour much to find the stock boot file lol. Thanks again, will update with results soon.Thank you for that info, I will remember that.
I’m going to scour after I post this, but just to be proactive, do you happen to know if this stock boot is in this guide or a different post? I appreciate the boot and you letting me know about that as well, I always like less leg work and who knows how long it would have taken my dumb ass to find out I can’t do it without root.
I saw a thread from some days ago where a person said (that in response to you, funny enough) a ROM called Evo X is being developed. You doubt? I also saw an article saying the kernel was released, which is all that’s necessary for development right? I get what you’re saying obviously, I’m just clinging to a dream that I’ll have a ROM on this phone honestly.
Thanks for the reply, I’ll be sure to update after I’ve made my attempt with the results.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot patched_boot.img * change patched_boot.img to whatever your filename is.
