The GPS is an Issues on the phone atm. They wil come out with a fix in the next update. For me personally the phone is great and IHave no issues beside GPS from time to time.

The OP3 is the best I've ever had and used, and there's no phone out there worth jumping ship for at $400.

This! Although the official Karbon cover has really helped me still being able to hold the phone without burning my hands.My OnePlus 3 works just fine. The problem is that its hot as heck.
My OP3 is always between 35 and 45°CIs it normal for my phone to get little warm after playing for like 40-50 minutes ? Is it because OP3 is made of metal or all devices with snapdragon 820 reach around 40-45 degree Celsius after that much time ?

No. No it is not. If you're having such a hard time with things loading though, I'd suggest downloading your local map for offline use using Google Maps.Pokemon Go is very data intensive.
