Oneplus 5 camera upgrades

I am thinking about buying OP5, but from what i saw the camera has disappointed me.

Maybe is it a fault for bad camera software? Do you guys remember if there was any changes to quality of photos taken from OP3 in the first day and months later?

with my oneplus 3t, we received very important upgrades. i am sure that the camera processing software will be improved a lot

Today I watched a OP5 review specifically on the camera and the majority of criticisms were attributed to software. The reviewer felt that at least some of them would be correct with an OP update (e.g. panorama stitching) and others he hoped they would eventually be fixed.

one bug caught: the selfie is mirrored - look at the words in all the selfie pics.

Camera seems to be very strange right now.. I've seen different reviews, and almost every one shows (but the reviewer doesn't tell) the camera to be a bit inconsistent. Sometimes details are just "washed out" and sometimes they're better than the Galaxy S8.
Anyone else noticed this?

Couldn't one use the HDR of Google's Camera? I lol'd during 1+'s presentation when they said that they trained their HDR algorithm with "over 1000 images". You know you're competing against Google, right?
