All over like street lights
Well, being impatient and all...
I did proceed with "my" method and the update went smoothly and fast (actually faster than most previous android 10 updates).

Only thing, Viper seems to have stopped working. Too bad but I'll live with that.
Just a heads up, viper and dolby both work on Android 11. There is a thread here where a member gives about 4 ways to get it working. Option 3, worked on my 2 6t's. Just do a little digging around in xda and, you should come across how to get it working

Thanks for the info.
I looked up the thread in questions... but actually I didn't need it.
In truth, the drivers were still there, only thing messed up was the app, it seems. So I uninstalled it, then installed the apk again (the one attached) and voila, everything back to working order.

Same, by the way, with the home app. A few reboots later, it doesn't flicker anymore between mine and the default one.

Cool, glad things worked out for you. It's kind of hard to be without viper after having it before 😁

I've been away from the OTAs for a long time due to lengthy procedure (at times, like extracting, patching and flashing boot image etc) So I've become a little rusty. I do prefer battery life, stable rom and root over anything, hence I stuck with 10.3.4 and didn't bother updating. Was thinking of updating 11.0.0 but saw many complaining of bugs and battery issues So didn't do that either. Can anyone tell me if 11.1.1 actually has those bug fixes? Does twrp+magisk works without issues? What would be the way to go for me? Updating to latest android 10, then updating to 11.0.0 and then to 11.1.1?

I pulled my 6 out of a desk drawer last week, factory reset it, and checked for OTA updates (I'm in Australia, they don't officially sell Oneplus phones here) and found no OTA updates (it was on 10.3)

Thanks to OP for providing the files, I was honestly surprised how easy it was to just download the files and install from within the phone, no ADB or flashing tools required. Thanks!

As OnePlus doesn't always provide download links for all of for their Oxygen OS ROMs & OTA update zips, we mirrored them on AndroidFileHost and put the links in one post so that they're easy to find.

This is not a support thread for issues you may have with Oxygen OS ROMs. If you need help installing or updating, feel free to ask here. If you have any other issues, please ask in another thread.

There are two types of file for each ROM: signed flashable zips and OTA incremental update zips.

Signed flashable zips: These are recovery-flashable zips of the full ROM that won't overwrite your data partition unless mentioned otherwise. They can be flashed via local update in Settings --> System --> System Updates or TWRP recovery.

OTA incremental update zips: These are recovery-flashable zips that update your ROM to a newer version. They can be flashed via local update in Settings --> System --> System Updates or TWRP recovery but will only work on non-rooted devices with no modifications to system files.

Hello, I am currently at 11.1.1.1 I wish to go back to 10 (something). Do I have to use one of the 'rollback' zips and have my data erased or can I use say, the 13.3.12 'signed flashable zip"?

Hi, I'm so worried about my phone. I recently purchased a used OnePlus 6 2 weeks ago. It had Android 9 installed at that time. I heard about Oxygen Updater app, updated it to Android 10, then Android 11.1.1.1. within same day from the app.

That's when my frustration began, after the update 11.1.1.1.

My OnePlus 6 camera was working completely fine on Android 9/10 but 3-4 days after updating to Android 11.1.1.1., it started crashing. On 6-7th day it completely stopped working on stock Camera app.

It did not fall down at all or got pressed from anywhere anyhow. Be noted that I'm a very careful user.

Now when I click the Camera app, it opens the Camera with black screen and closes within two seconds. That's it, no response at all. It does not switches to front camera at all. If I select any other Camera Mode (Video/Portrait) on back cam it closes without any response.

I then checked camera operation in some apps:
1- Instagram: By default Front cam opens. Front cam operates fine here and captures pictures.
2- Whatsapp: By default Back cam opens. Back cam is unresponsive, neither lets switching to Front cam.

Then I downloaded "HD Camera" app from Play store. Running this app, back camera is loaded by default so, at first it gives "Serious Camera Error" and switching to front camera is unresponsive. I open Gallery images from within the app and then back to camera, I click on Front camera and it switches to front camera. Then I can click images/videos with Front camera. I then again try to switch to back camera and "Failed to HD camera. Camera may be in use by another application?" message appears. Hence, back camera does not works.

I also noticed that in Face Unlock settings it lets Front Camera work. It recognized my face and lets it unlock the phone fine.

Then, I googled How to unlock Engineering Mode in OnePlus 6 and tested camera working in Engineering Mode:
1- Rear camera testing FAILED/unresponsive. (This is lower camera on the back)
2- Second Rear camera testing PASSED/camera image appears. (This is upper camera on the back)
3- Front camera testing PASSED/camera image appears.

Things that I have tried multiple times to cure the issue:
1- clearing Cache of Camera app
2- clearing Storage of Camera app
3- wiping Cache from Boot menu
4- doing Factory reset 5 times
5- rolling back to Android 10, then 9 but the problem still remains
6- tried Gcam, same behavior

As far as I know it may be a software issue since the issue happened right after updating to Android 11. Before that everything was working completely fine.

I followed some posts in OnePlus community, found multiple other users having the same issue after the update.

Now, I'm gonna try installing each and every update from Android 9 to 10 one by one and check if the problem resolves.

My request to the community here is that I'm a newbie and need your support to Flash my phone correctly and see if any update may solve my problem.

I am facing exactly same issue of back camera. Have you solved the issue ? Thanks in advance

Just a heads up, viper and dolby both work on Android 11. There is a thread here where a member gives about 4 ways to get it working. Option 3, worked on my 2 6t's. Just do a little digging around in xda and, you should come across how to get it working
I have flashed dolby digital plus in my OP6 stock A11 latest. But it isn't working, always force closing. Can you tell me which files you used and your steps of installing it.

Guys, I have a question I have flashed latest A11 stock rom of OP6 through twrp and is also working fine. Wanted to know is it necessary to flash the official rom to both slots? If yes, then how can we have twrp and magisk in both slots then?
