So I excitedly installed the new Android 12 update and I am already regretting after less then an hour.

I want to downgrade to Android 11 again. So I need use the downgrade ROM and wipe my device in the process?

HD1913_11_F.17 seems to be the same for EU and GO ?

Will they release an incremental version to update F17 to F20 or do i need to apply a full F20 (i'm in EU) ?

EU and GLO builds are different although they share the same build number, feel free to dump them.

I imagine F.20 OTA for EU will be released in a couple of days or weeks.

How can I run the F.20 version as an update?

Some reason I cannot update my OnePlus 7T Pro (which is rooted). Before, I think, a software update would first download the new version, then i would click install.

Now software update downloads the file somewhere and stops with "Installation problem".

Looking in logcat, i can see it downloaded the new version then one by one is trying to install the different components.

However it fails on "boot.img", stating that the checksum is wrong. Not sure if it's reporting my current checksum or that in the new version.

Any help or ideas would be great. 🙂

Maybe try to connect your device via USB cable to PC and then install this update through the adb

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

I'm downloading the F20 update from the first page here.

How would/should I run the update?
(First time doing an update through adb and would really not want to mess it up and wipe my data)

You can use shell command 'adb sideload oxygenos_update.zip', but make sure that adb daemon is able to handle connection... 'adb devices' should list your device connected in sideload mode. I don't remember how OxygenOS updates are processed, because I use LineageOS, however if you have OOS 12, then I believe that dirty installation should be possible.

On my 7T Pro EU I got the OTA to F.20 yesterday, it was around 820 MB. I can confirm that the file uploaded here is the same with the Oxygen Updater one, down to the name of the downloaded file, the size and md5sum. I guess that this is the last hurrah of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series. I highly doubt that OnePlus will be releasing new firmware, although some have issues. I could stay with OxygenOS 12 as it is now, I have no issues.

I lost root after updating from F20 (already on OOS12) to F22.
To get root again I want to patch the boot.img from the F22 build and flash it in Magisk.

The F22 (EU) in OP has the note "delivered to OOS 11 users". Is it possible to extract boot.img from this and flash patch and flash it in Magisk or do I have to use a different F22 zip?
