OnePlus 8 unlock code TMO

I'm not sure if the mobile unlock code or network unlock code is different for each device but just in case it isn't I decided that I would help everyone by posting mine just to hopefully by chance it might help one of y'all out I just have one request could someone upload the firmware for 10.5.22 IN2017 or at least the persist.img, modem.img, and boot.img for this firmware. If not then could I download an OTA firmware from the OnePlus website like the oxygen OS 11 beta and patch that boot image with magisk and then flash it to my T-Mobile branded OnePlus phone that's bootloader unlocked. Thanks anyway here's the unlock code that I used.

Every unlock code is different so that wouldn't work

You can't msm to global, msm is for unbricking or returning to stock. You need to unlock your bootloader and use a fastboot rom to switch to global.

I got mine in literally a week. Unfortunately the first OP 8 was defective and T-Mobile replaced it. Literally just called support and told them I'm a dev for a living and because my account was in good standing I got the code.

I am waiting for unlock code.I want to know what happens when i unlock bootloader? Do i still have the same OTA and just lose my data? If i restore my data and relock the bootloader will i be able to recieve up to date OTA?

Just data loss, you can still take OTA's just fine.

to unlock the bootloader u have to apply for it and in my experience for a simple 2kb file containing the key bruh T-Mobile took tooo f**ing long to send it. Almost breached the 2 week period they had promised , luckily at the end they sent it. The funny thing is i put my imei and the i**** showed a pic of a 6T but writes the name as op 8
T-mobile smh.

I must have had a rare experience because I received my unlock_code.bin about an hour after requesting it. Unlocking the bootloader via fastboot went without a hitch.

About 30 minutes after that I now have a soft-brick to work around as I managed to destroy the current boot/recovery image while attempting root.

UPDATE: Have since regained use of phone by switching active slot.
