I've left 1- at 1-5 (it was a big drama with the cam there), I just bought 8T and tested it, quality wise they didn't moved even a bit since then in my opinion, still mediocre at best (using the stock app)... So yea, use gcam :)

Can you guys please share your version of gcam please? Cos i just installed the last version and night shots just suck compared to stock. Not only that, but i also can not find where it saves the photos :)

Go on telegram and search the "oneplus 8/8t google cam" group.
You will can download the good app and the xml for it.

The dev works on it and make a very good work, and it's only the beginning :cowboy:

This sounded fun so I ran out into the backyard. Each series has macro, 2x, 1x, and .6x. All the photos are straight off the built in camera app unedited. I tried to keep the subject of the macro in focus as I shifted between lenses, but I failed miserably because I didn't step back far enough. It was hard to go from the 1 inch of the macro and get far enough back for the other lenses to focus and I couldn't tell from the screen.

Not impressed with what happened to the colors in the redBerryMacro shot.

I think because the sony imx686 doesn't really perform any better than the imx586 in the 7pro. In most instances and from my own experience the Sony imx586 performed better overall

Last night there were clear skies for 2hrs, so I used that opportunity to test out the astrophotography feature on Google Camera. Both photos were taken from the same position.

    1st photo - main lens
2nd photo - wide angle lens.
